Haru ~ Prisoner

     You were running through the woods. Sweat dripped down your face and your heart raced. You're an Earth Bender and you got caught bending. In your village, bending was forbidden. It was banned by the Fire Nation soldiers that ran the streets. Whoever was caught Earth Bending, was taken to a prison. Your mother was taken there years ago, and you haven't seen her since. 

     Once you had gotten to the village, you ran for your boyfriend's house. You burst through the door and shut it quickly, startling his mother in the process. 

     "Goodness my child! You startled me," she said with a hand over her heart. You stayed quiet until the soldiers were gone and you let out a held breath. 

     "Please...forgive me. Where is Haru," you asked between breaths. She lifted an eyebrow at you before looking at the doorway to her right. Then Haru appeared from the doorway and looked at you. He gave you a concerned look.

     "Hey. Are you okay? What's wrong," Haru asked as he walked to you. You took a step and nearly fell into his arms. He caught you and held you close to him. You rested your head on his chest and shook your head. He looked back at his mom and she nodded her head. 

     "I'll give you two a minute," she said then left the room. Haru nodded to her as a way of thanking her.

     "Alright baby girl tell me. What's wrong," he asked. You let out a held breath and started to speak.

     "I was in the woods practicing a few of the techniques when someone found me. I tried to explain but they just bolted."

     "Well, who found you?"

     "My guess was that it was a new soldier because he was in the Fire Nation uniform. I could tell that he was very new to the concept of Earth Bending." Haru sighed and held you tight. 

     "Well, the guards are gone. But please be careful next time okay," he said. You locked your fingers around his torso and nodded.

     "Yes sir," you said sarcastically. Haru chuckled before he leaned over and kissed you. Later that night you were helping Haru loading supplies into the barn in the back. Haru was gone for a bit to help his mom so you sat in the barn. Then, you were found by Fire Nation soldiers. You knocked out one of them with a swift kick to the head. But, you were taken down from behind. They cuffed you and loaded you onto a ship. You fought with them every step. Once you made it to the stronghold, you were taken to the Warden's office. By then, you were bruised and cut up. 

     "So, you must be the one everyone is talking about," the man said from his chair. 

     "That depends. If you aren't afraid of me, then you've got the wrong girl," you snapped. The man turned in his chair with his hands clasped in front of you.

     "Oh, I am far from afraid my dear. You are quite famous aren't you?" Your eyes widened. "Well your father was at least," he continued. You glared at him. Your father was a soldier best known for his strategies on a battlefield and for his fighting style. But when the Fire Nation attacked, your father was taken away during battle and you haven't seen him since.

     "What do you know of my father," you grumbled. The grey man lifted an eyebrow at you.

     "He was...a real pain in the ass. He had made many attempts to escape this stronghold by using the earth beneath the water. But of course, he failed and he was punished severally," the man said with a grin. You growled and lunged forward but the soldiers grabbed you before you could get any closer.

     "You have no right to speak of my father that way! He's a good man! Don't you ever speak of him that way again," you said. Then you spat at him. He wiped his face and looked at you.

     "And what do you intend to do about it? You have no power here," he said. 

     "I have more power than you know." Then the whole facility began to shake. You were manipulating the earth beneath the yard where the prisoners were held. Stone spikes began to grow from the edges of the island. Then men started shouting over the speakers.

     "The facility won't hold! The power supply is dropping! The coal won't light and we are losing power fast," they shouted. The grey man looked at you with wide eyes.

     "Stop this at once! Take her hands," he bellowed. Before you knew what happened, you felt someone grab your hands and you felt your skin heat up. You screamed as the heat increased. Then the building stopped shaking and everything settled. "Take her down to the yard!"

     You were in extreme pain. You almost couldn't feel your hands. When they uncuffed you and tossed you into the yard, you landed on your hands and knees. You fell onto your side from the pain in your hands. When you looked, your hands were burned. Tears streamed your face from the pain. You scooted towards a wall and leaned your head back and shut your eyes.
