Aang ~ The Question

        It's been about eight years since the war and you are still adjusting to your new lifestyle. You used to live with your cousin, Toph, but when she had gotten older, she was able to get a place of her own. You are currently living with Aang, your boyfriend, and you both are very happy. After the war, you and Aang went back to the Southern Air Temple and rebuilt it. After the reconstruction, some of the native animals started to reappear. Flying Lemurs slowly started to return along with bison. 

        You were out in a large courtyard one day, feeding the baby bison and Appa. You played with them after their feeding. While you were playing with the babies, Aang walked into the courtyard and leaned against a tree, watching you play with the animals. He chuckled to himself and smiled. He had never felt luckier. When you heard a soft laugh, you looked and saw Aang standing under a tall cherry blossom tree. You smiled at him and walked over to him.

        "Hey Aang! I didn't see you there," you said as you kissed his cheek. You stood in front of him. He smiled.

        "It's okay Y/n. I was just watching. You look beautiful today," he said as he wrapped his arms around you. You smiled at him. He kissed your forehead before hugging you.

        "Ooo. Someone's being extra loving today. What are you planning," you asked as you looked at him. He grinned at you.

        "I plan on spending the day with my beautiful Earthbender. And we are going to be having visitors this evening," Aang said.

        "Sounds fun. Who is coming to visit?"

        "The original team." You smiled at him moved closer to him. Your nose brushed his.

        "Can't wait," you said. He chuckled as you kissed him. As day shifted, everyone showed up. Your cousin, Katara and Sokka, and Zuko. You haven't seen them all in a while and you were overjoyed that they were there. You all gathered around a table and ate food and chatted. After you all ate, you took everyone outside and showed them the baby bison.

        "They are beautiful," Katara said as she looked around.

        "They're just a smaller version of Appa. Can I have one," Sokka asked. You chuckled at him and shook your head.

        "No. They have to stay here where it's safe for them," you explained as you patted his shoulder. Sokka groaned and you laughed. "Glad to see that some things never change," you said. Katara and Zuko laughed. While you were occupied with entertaining your company, you felt Aang and Toph leave the courtyard. You came back to reality when Appa floated down and landed in front of Zuko. He froze as Appa licked him. You stood with Katara and Sokka and extended your arms in front of them. "Nobody move. He can smell fear," you said jokingly.

        "Who, the bison or the Firebender," Sokka asked. You and Katara started laughing.

        "She was talking about me," Zuko added. Sokka just looked at Zuko with a blank stare.

        "Ohhh. So does that mean you could smell my fear when I accidentally broke one of those large antique vases in your palace," Sokka asked. You and Katara gave Sokka a wide eyed look.

        "Wait you did what," Zuko exclaimed. Sokka turned away quickly.

        "Nothing!" You walked over to Zuko and Appa and pet the bison. You let out a sigh.

        "Hey where is Aang and Toph," Katara asked. You looked around and didn't see them. Then you felt Toph walked over to you.

        "Hey Y/n! Twinkle Toes wants to talk to you over there," she said as she pointed to the Temple. You turned to her and lifted a brow.

        "Well where is he?"

        "The Meditation Creek," she answered. You nodded and started on your way. Once you made it to the creek, you saw Aang standing in front of the water.

        "Aang? Is everything okay," you asked as you walked up behind him. You put a gentle hand on his shoulder. When you did, he turned to you and smiled, putting his hand over yours.

        "Everything is amazing now that you are here." He took your hand and kissed your knuckles as he turned to you. You smiled at him.

        "What's going on?"

        "Do you remember when we first met," he asked suddenly. You smiled at the ground and nodded.

        "How could I forget. I saved you from crazy merchants that wanted to turn you in," you said when you made eye contact with him.

        "That day that you came into my life, nothing but good has happened to us. You were the light that guided me out of my darkest moments. I can't imagine my life without you," he said. Then he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. You covered your mouth with one hand while he still held the other. Tears started to form in your eyes. "Will you make me the happiest Airbender alive, and marry me?" You nodded your head.

        "Yes. Yes," you exclaimed with joy. He smiled at you as he slid the ring onto your finger. You leaned to him and kissed him as he stood.

        "It's about time!" You both looked and saw Sokka behind a set of bushes. You chuckled.

        "You all knew," you asked. Everyone stood up and smile at you.

        "You guessed it," Toph replied. "He even asked me for my blessing." You looked at Aang and you smiled at him. "Hope he's prepared because he has no idea what hes getting himself into," Toph teased. You laughed at her. Then everyone crowded around you and Aang and congratulated you both.
