Chapter 16: To Liyue!

Venti: Surely a drink or two wouldn't hurt...

Timeskip next day

Once Yap was finished for the day, he then went ahead and told Katheryne that he's taking a while off because he will be visiting Liyue soon.

Kath: Oh, is that so? Alright then. If you need to deliver messages, you can send them to Springvale. Then a carrier pigeon from there will send the message you've wrote.

Yap: Thanks Kath. I'll start preparing now.

With that, Yap went back to the dorm he and Eula stayed at and prepared his stuffs (which isn't a lot since his bag that can fill god who knows how much items in there does most of the job). After that, he prepared to write a letter.

Yap: [And.. about done. Mondstadt is amazing, yes. But there must be more than just Mondstadt, right? One more thing.... I've to tell Jean as well otherwise she'll think I went MIA.]

Packing his stuff and slinging it over his back, he went to Jean's office.

As usual, he'd knock and ask Jean whether or not if she was in. 

No response came what so ever.

Yap: ....? [What happened to Jean? Eh. Guess I'll enter and find out.] (Opens the door) Jean-

Jean was asleep on her table, most likely from overworking again.

Yap: ( ._. ) [Well... I suppose I'll have to leave a letter for her too..]

Quickly writing the letter, he put it on Jean's table and left.

Yap's letter to Jean: (Title: Read this letter once you've completed your work or have some spare time) My deepest apologies, Jean. I'll be away for quite a while as I'm planning to travel to Liyue. Yes, I'll be travelling on my own. But you need not to worry about my safety. I can take care of myself just fine and make sure that... "incident" will not happen again. I've left a letter for Eula as well. If her reaction isn't too good, I would like to ask of you to.. calm her down. I know this is a bit too much for someone like me. However, I can say that I'll be back in Mondstadt within 2-4 months or so. May the Anemo Archon Barbatos protect us. -BlizzardFrost Knight Yap

Once outside the city, Yap begun his journey to Liyue.

Childe: Oh, look who it is.

Yap: I'm surprised and maybe a little flattered you've come to pick me up personally Childe. Now then. Shall we be off to Liyue?

Childe: Let's go at once then. (To the caravan driver) To Liyue.

Fatui Caravan driver: Yes Lord Childe.

While on the way to Liyue, Yap and Childe talked about anything that interests them.

Childe: Is the Titan of the Knights of Favonius back? 

Yap: Who?

Childe: Oh, you don't know him? Grand Master Varka of the Knights. I'm sure some of your fellow Knights must've known him, no?

Yap: That I'm not too sure since there are some things I do not really care. I'm more of a living in the present and worry a little about the future.

Childe: And about your past?

Yap: That one... I'm not too certain about it. I don't trust you enough just yet for you to know my past.

Other Fatui members: Watch your mouth. (Pointing their weapons at him)
