Andy

I heard my phone ring again and I tossed the towel I was using to dry my hair onto the bathroom floor.

"Cassie I told you to lose my number," I snapped without even looking at the caller ID.

Cassie -my ex- had been calling every 5 minutes for the last 3 days. We were together for two years and, for a minute I thought we'd last but, after I walked in on her getting railed by one of my crew members, I decided she probably wasn't the one for me. I also decided that said crew member could take a fucking hike and find a new job.

"Damn Andy, I thought we were chill?" After hearing a masculine voice I took a second to check who is actually calling me and noticed it was my old friend Adrian.

"Shit, my bad man I thought you were someone else,"

"Yeah I could kinda tell but, it's all good"

"So what's going on man?" I asked walking to my closet and pulling out an outfit for the day.

Let's see, black tee, black jeans, black shoes...seems good to me.

"Uhm nothing much, are you up to anything special?"

I thought about how I wanted to respond.

I met Adrian about a year ago when he was the opening act for my tour and, I loved him like a brother but, he's always been the social one so, hanging out with him (and having to be social) freaks me out just a little sometimes.

"I don't think so but, I'll have to check on it. Why, what's up?"

"Well uh, you know I leave for tour in a couple days," I nodded in response and threw out a yeah once I realized he couldn't see me, "and uh my sister, she can't come with me because she's in school still but I don't think she should be here by herself."

"Bro you know I love you but please, for the love of god, spit it the fuck out" I chuckled, starting to get a tad ancy .

"Yeah sorry, point is, you're only like 20 minutes away,"

"Yup,"

"Right, so I was wondering if you would mind staying with her?" I froze in the middle of the bedroom I was pacing through and at this point I was glad Adrian couldn't see my face because it looked ridiculous as fuck, "Uhhh...Andy?"

"Right yeah, how old is she again?" I questioned.

If I'm being completely honest, I expected him to tell me his sister was maybe five or six.

"yeah she's 18,"

Hold on. What?

"Sorry, what?" I voiced exactly what I was thinking which, I honestly didn't do all that often but, what can I say, I was confused.

I mean, an 18 year old girl? She was only 4 years younger than me and she was legally considered an adult. The fuck did he need me to watch her for?

"Yeah, I know it seems kinda weird to get someone to watch over an adult but, she doesn't really uh," he paused to collect his words, "I guess thrive on her own?"

I tried to take a second to think my decision over but, before I knew, it an answer left my lips

"y-yeah sure thing no problem man!"

Shit well so much for thinking it over...and what the fuck was the enthusiasm for?

"Thank you so much dude," Adrian cheered and I swear I could feel the guy's smile through the damn phone, "I'll see you tomorrow man thanks!"

"Yeah no prob-" I started to respond but was cut off with a dial tone.

Wait. Did he say tomorrow?
