andyblack oh yeah...stay tuned might have something special planned for the hometown show 😉

As I performed the last song of my set my eyes drifted over the crowd, and focused on Ashton one more time. My smile faded as I saw a random dude move closer to her and whisper in her ear. I watched so intently as she laughed at whatever he said and, my blood began to boil. I held my microphone out, warranting the crowd to scream out the last line of the song I momentarily couldn't remember, before muttering out a thank you and exiting the stage.

"Good show man!" Sebastian grinned wickedly as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Yeah." I nodded and sent out a half-hearted smile.

"You ok?" He questioned.

"Oh sure." I nodded before watching Ashton walk through the door.

She gave me a hug and pulled me in for a kiss, "That was amazing baby, I'm so proud of you."

I smiled genuinely at her before Remington walked out of the room, causing my focus to settle on the man that was next to her earlier. He was shorter than me but, way taller than the blonde, middle-aged woman he was standing next to.

"Who's this?" I sent the stranger a smile but it was fake.

"Oh I'm Gavin," He held his hand out for me to shake which a did, after a moment of hesitation, "a family friend."

Oh.

I sent Ashton a questioning glance, and by the annoyed look on her face, I could tell she felt my concerns.

Oh.

"Oh."

"Yes," Ashton cleared her throat, "Gavin's been Adrian's best friend since they were little. He's like a brother to me."

She emphasized the latter of her statement causing me to mentally kick myself.

Why wouldn't I trust her?

The woman standing by the door way cleared her throat before giving Ashton a pointed look, causing her to chuckle.

"And this."

Ashton took my hand and lead me over to the woman with a contagious smile on her face

"This is my mom."

Ashton

"This is my mom."

I almost laughed at the change in Andy's facial expression before deciding it was the wrong time.

"Mom, this is Andy."

"I've heard so much about you!" My mother squealed as she took Andy into a hug, finally snapping him back into reality.

"It's so nice to meet you Ms.Wright." He beamed as he hugged back.

My mom decided to never change her last name when she married my father. I remember her saying something about the fees she didn't want to pay to get a new cosmetology license as well as the license for her salon. When Adrian and I were born she decided that we'd take on her last name. Some people got confused but, according to her, she did most of the work so she should get most of the credit. My mom's badass, I know.

"Oh just call me Rachel please," She smiled as she pulled back and rubbed his shoulders a little bit, "now I feel like I already know you with how much Ashton's talked about you on the phone but-"

I nudged her in the shoulder.

"Ashton Jo-" Andy smirked at my mothers reprimand.

"Oh you must be the palaye boys!"

My mom smiled even brighter (which I didn't think was possible at this point but the woman is full of suprises) as she pulled both Emerson and Sebastian in for hugs.

"Yeah we don't know where the fu-" Emerson what cut off by Sebastian's elbow "subtly" jabbing him in the rib, "-udge Remington is."

"Oh I thought somebody was missing," Mom said, "well, let's track Remington down and get some food in your stomachs!"

Everyone groaned in delight after those words left my mothers mouth and I smiled, relieved everyone had made a good first impression with each other. I then, took in Andy sending a firm look in Gavin's direction.

Well almost everyone.
