Andy
I woke up to my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I said after clicking answer.
"Andy hey it's me-"
I hung up after hearing Cassie's voice and then I finally blocked her number.
Note to self...start looking at your caller ID before answering the phone.
"What time is it?" Ashton mumbled from beside me.
"Hmm...10:07," I smiled taking my other arm out from under her, "I'm surprised to see your here."
"What?"
I chuckled a bit at her confused face, "Usually your back in your room by time I wake up."
She sat up a little bit to look me in the eyes, "I'm sorry I can-"
"Jo, it's ok," I chuckled, "just because it's never happened before doesn't mean I don't like it."
I didn't mean it like that.
Did I?
She paused a minute before changing the subject.
"So who was on the phone?"
"Cassie," I sighed and noticed her stiffen, "don't worry I hung up as soon as I figured out it was her...and I finally blocked her fucking number which is something I should've done a long time ago."
Ashton grabbed my shirt from the edge of the bed and threw it on before she sat back next to me.
"Why didn't you?"
"I don't know," I said after a minute, "I think I was just holding on. I still can't figure out to what though."
Ashton kissed the tattoo on my shoulder.
"Maybe you're holding on to you wanted it to be instead of what it actually was?"
I nodded my head, "I guess so. I mean, we called are relationship serious but, I was really on the road more than I was with her."
"Really?"
"Yeah," I chuckled dryly, "maybe if I would've had more time with her I would've saw what she was sooner."
"Well," Ashton clicked her tongue, "somethings take awhile to figure out. You know what I mean?"
I know exactly what you mean.
