"So where are you guys headed next?" Rachel asked from across the table.

We were going to go out to eat but, she insisted that we come have a home cooked meal and, since her house was only an hour away from the venue, we agreed.

"Uhh," Remington started to answer her question before he realized he didn't know, "that's a good question, that I'm sure Sebastian could answer."

Remington gave his older brother a nudge with his elbow, causing Sebastian to shake his head before he finished chewing, "uh no, Emerson? You know things."

Emerson opened his mouth to speak before closing it, and shrugging.

The four of us just kind of looked back and forth for a minute, embarrassed that we didn't know where we were going on our own tour.

"Springfield guys." Ashton chuckled.

"Oh yeah." We all chorused.

"That's in..." Remington's voice faded earning a dumbfounded look from his younger brother.

"Illinois you dumbass."

Sebastian smacked Emerson in the back of the head.

"Sorry." Emerson sighed bashfully causing everyone at the table to let out a chuckle.

"It's ok," Rachel said before wiping the corner of her mouth and tapping Ashton's hand with her own, "this one swears in front of me more than you'd think."

I smiled at the way Ashton's face reddened. She was always so beautiful even when she got nervous.

"I believe it," I teased, "I'm convinced that the first time we met she just said every single thing that came to mind."

"Well that's because the first time we met you were an idiot." Ashton smiled innocently causing Remington to let out a loud laugh from beside her.

"Listen." I said holding my hands up defensively trying to come up with more of a response.

"What are you gonna tell me I'm wrong?"

"I-" I couldn't come up with a response, "ok no but-"

The table once again broke out into laughter.

"I bet you scared the shit out of him too." Gavin finally chimed back in causing me to automatically stiffen up a bit.

I don't know why I just didn't like him. He just rubbed the wrong way I guess.

"Just because you were scared of her doesn't mean everyone is," Rachel raised her eyebrows, "I mean it took you what a year to finally say anything to her?"

Ashton took the confused look on my face as a sign to elaborate, "Gavin met Adrian in like fifth grade I think? Anyway, he would come over all of the time and just avoid me and I didn't know why."

Gavin took a drink of his water before continuing the story, "Little did she know that the day before I came to their house for the first time, I had seen her yelling at some boy in the hallway."

"He stole my favorite pencil." Ashton defended herself through all of our laughter.

"Right, and in response you called him a- what was it again?" Gavin pondered.

"I," Ashton pretended to think for a moment, "I believe it was a wet donkey butt."

"You know," I sighed focusing my gaze on her, "that sounds exactly like something you would do."

"Only to people that deserve it." She blushed.

"So what have you guys been up to?" Gavin chuckled changing the subject.

"Running around random buildings apparently." Remington responded throwing a smirk at Ashton.

I just focused on him for a minute, trying to gauge the clouded look in his eyes. I couldn't figure out what he was thinking while he was focused on her, but I just decided to give up. I knew how she felt about him, and I knew I needed to try harder to trust her. I loved Ashton with just about -if not- everything in me, and it wasn't her fault that I got too close to the wrong people.

"Hey," Ashton beamed back before playfully shoving him in the shoulder, "it was a movie theater and I didn't want to sit through the previews."

Remington shook his head and rolled his eyes playfully before stuffing another bite of food in his mouth.

"Fair enough," Sebastian chuckled, "at least you didn't settle for throwing popcorn at random people and blaming it on your brother."

Sebastian shrugged before throwing a playful glare Remington's direction causing all to laugh again.
