After returning Hayley home, Kara sat in the library staring at the grimoires stacked up on the table. She had received word from one of her little spies of her brothers little show. She ignored the urge to stake him right up his arse for his stunt.

There was absolutely no need to antagonize the witch. They've already gotten what they wanted, Elijah was back, Hayley would have been unlinked in a matter of days. And now!this so she waited patiently for the smug bastard to return "Niklaus why would you put my child at risk in a ploy to antagonize the witch and not only that but nearly kill the boy she fancies? I need to know .. were you bloody dropped on head as a child?"

Klaus scoffed "Come now sister, we need the witch on our side, playing nice won't get us anywhere. It's manipulation 101. Use someone close to them and a means to control them."

Kara stared at him for a long while before shaking her head "I don't particularly 'play nice' with those who doesn't deserve it, I play nice with those who has done nothing to deserve my ire. Davina has done nothing to do so! But now I'm forced to work harder to fix what you broke because of your forceful tactics!"

"She had Elijah hostage!"

"No, she didn't, Marcel had Elijah hostage. A hostage you gave him. Do not try to shift blame brother. Own up to fucking mistakes!" She seethed "If she doesn't manage to unlink Hayley from that witch there will be hell to pay.. if anything happens to Hayley or my child" she said knocking into his shoulder.

Klaus sighed "I am sorry sister, perhaps we should collaborate to ensure this would not happen again."

Kara scoffed "No.. I believe you have the notion in your head that you were once king here brother.. I allowed you to play because you would become bored if you did not.

This city was never yours, you lived here and made it your home because I allowed it to be so, you had freedom because I allowed you your freedom. And when that bastard Mikael came.. I was the one who stood in his way so that you could run, I was the one who nearly had a stake put through the chest.. Do not forget Niklaus.. to me you're not the big bad hybrid." Her gaze flashed violet "And I will never cower before you like our siblings has.."

She ignored the surprised look on her brothers face and left him be, she ignored the urge to apologize. She should've said those things a long time ago.

She should've never allowed him to dagger their siblings as he pleased, she allowed him too much.. their sister , their brothers.. she lost Heinrik and Kol .. she would be damned if he was the cause of another loss, especially the life of her child.

•••••••••

She made her way to Hayleys room, she opened the door to see the werewolf sitting up with a laptop on her lap. "You're awake" Hayley's gaze met hers.

"Yeah.. thank you for coming to get me"

Kara nodded "Of course.. how is the baby?"

Hayley's smile widened "healthy.. it's a girl by the way."

A genuine smile tugged at the hybrids lips "I see.. well then I'm happy our littlest wolf is safe and healthy." She stepped out before she tossed Hayley a warm smile "and I'm happy you're safe as well Hayley.. truly"

When the hybrid disappeared from the doorway, Hayley felt her cheeks warm. She didn't want to feel what she felt for the hybrid again, that was the very thing that got her into this situation in the first place. But..

Kara Mikaelson .. was different. There was something unexplainable luring Hayley to her, she could've chalked it up to her hormones but Hayley Marshall was no coward, she would not hide away from her growing feelings toward the woman. Since mystic falls ever since they met, she found Kara the most beautiful woman she's ever laid her eyes on.
