NIALL HORAN

I need to see her. I miss her, I miss her, I fucking miss her. I drive through the neighborhood and stop at Melanie's house. The house is crowd and full of middle-aged people. Probably Mary is having anotherparty. As I walk into her house, Mary greets me.

"Niall!" Mary pulls me into a hug as I hug her back.

"Yeah, where's Melanie?"

"In her room, with Thomas." She informs as she gulps down the liquid.

Why does Melanie have to be with someone else other than me? I think about her a lot and stressed over her, and she's acting so cool and fine. "It's a minute until new year, have fun Niall!"

"Yeah, just, let me catch up with Melanie." I run through the crowd and make my way up to her room. The door isn't closed and I can see Thomas and Melanie, sitting on the bed, talking. I see Melanie's eyes flicker to the tv, wrapping her arms around Thomas's neck.

"I love you, Thomas." She says and leans in for a kiss. Her three words to Thomas keep on repeating in my head as I feel a sense of anger inside me at her who's kissing Thomas. That kiss is mine. That should be me! She lets go of the kiss and pulls him into a hug as her eyes dart to the door to see me. "Niall. . ." She says. Thomas turns his head around to see me. His face is even more pale than before, probably the weather.

I shake my head. "Thomas, take care of her." I nod as I turn my heels and leave the room. I run down the stairs as people cheering. I feel tears are roaming in my eyes and it falls down in a quick motion. I get into my car and quickly pulls it on the driveway. I feel numb and I feel like I have no other options. I feel alone and the last thing I'd do is to attend a stupid new year party at the frat house.

I shove my things into my suitcase as I call my dad to order a quick plane to Ireland. The plane is tomorrow morning at 8. I force myself to rest but I can't. The thought of Melanie kissing Thomas keeps on playing in my mind. I've never really thought about themtogether. But, it's time to move on. It's time to let her go. Falling in love sucks dick. It cringes me.

I wake up by my alarm I set on my bedside table. I groan and I sit up, trying to gather my thoughts. I hate the fact that I have to leave America for one girl. The thought of Ireland doesn't excite me but at least I had a life there back then and I kind of miss spending time with my friends. Who knows by moving in to Ireland can help me prevent my feelings towards Melanie. Which is probably takes months, but at least I can be away from her. So this is the feeling of being in love.

I take a quick shower since I haven't taken for. . . two or three days. Why am I being so depressed over her? She doesn't even think of me, why do I have to mind her? I take one last glance as I leave my room. I drive myself to the airport and try to avoid Melanie's face and theidea out of my head as I check in to get the seat ticket and leave my suitcase in the luggage. I look like mess and it's going to be a long flight. I try my best to sleep and put Melanie's thoughts on edge. Melanie is mentally and physically torturing me. It hurts so fucking bad and what I need right now is her warm embrace while we can talk deep shits all along until one of us fall into a deep sleep. I manage myself to eat one of the flight attendants gives me but I don't have the urge to eat. I refuse the offers as I fall asleep, with struggling. Of course.

"Ladies and gentleman. . ." The flight attendant says through the speakers in front of me as I pull the blankets away. I fold the blankets together as I stretch myself. I look out the window to see a glimpse of Irish sunlight. Its good to be home but, what if Melanie is my home. . .? Fuck. Can I just live a day without her idea comes across my head all the time?!

I get off of the airport as my friend, Anthony picks me up. I called my mum on the way home and she almost cried out at the thought I'm going to stay at hers. Which the last thing I'd do and well, really. It's the least thing. My friends here live with their own parents and it's not going to be really pleasing for my mom to know that and it's going to be out of hand. I invite Anthony inside my house as my mom screeches from the stairs as she sees me.

"Niall!" My mum screams as she sees me and she pulls me into a hug. "My boy." She cries as she pulls out of the grip.

"Hi, mum." I chuckle. I just spend 20 minutes of my life being hugged by my mum and kissed by her but it's kind of normal for mums like that. "I need to go to my room, are you done?" I joke.

"Well, yeah. I'm making your favorite food since you were little!"

"Kfc?"

"No! Just go up."

"Oh! Nando's?"

"Of course not, Niall. Potatoes!" She shakes her head.

"Okay." I growl.

"Niall!" A familiar sound of someone I used to know surprises me by the top of the stairs. I look up to see a blonde curly waves haired girl. She looks even better by the year. She looks. . . stunning.

"Alice?" I grin.

"Hey!" She squeals and wraps her arms around me. I step back, not expecting it. "How long are you staying?" She asks.

"I don't know, maybe I'm going to move back here." I shrug.

"Great! Come on, let me help you to your room." Alice carries the backpack that is swinging on my shoulder and lead me to my room. I've been friends with Alice since as long as I can remember. She's my best friend and the last time I remembered, she kissed me. But maybe she has a boyfriend now and gets over the kiss.

"My old room, at last!" I laugh, follows by hers.

"Well, my mum and dad will be out of town for a couple of days and I thought that I should stay here and to my surprise, your mum let me. She said I'm like her own daughter." She flutters. I just let out a chuckle. It has been quiet a tiring day so I strip my jacket as I lay on my bed behind the covers and let myself asleep. "Hey, I'm still here." Alice intrudes my peace time but I know her and she's just missing me.

"Come on, lay in bed with me." I tell her as I try to close my eyes once again.
