I get out of the car and head to the back door with Niall, he suddenly runs to the door and opens it for me with a huge grin appears from his cute face. "So gentle-ish." I shake my head and glare at him. He just scoffs and leads us to where Bob is working. He barges in without knocking, revealing Bob is typing on his iMac. He grins at the sight of us walking into his office. He gestures something to Niall, Niall nods and gets out of the room, leaving only the two of us now.

"What is it, Bob?" I take a sit on the chair in front of the wooden desk.

"Uh, listen, you know that—" He sighs, taking a full deep breath before continuing. "Your dad, his grave is in Mullingar, right?" He mentions my dad and it aches my heart a bit, but I think I kind of get used to the idea of my dad had died. And accept the fact that we will eventually be living in another world.

"It's here? In Mullingar?" I ask, emotionless.

"Yes, darling and well, while you're still here maybe you should visit him." He shrugs, looking at the ground.

I smile. "Okay, would you come?"

"Yeah, of course and you can ask Niall to come too if you want." He offers, leaning forward to hold my hand. "He's the only man in your life that is assigned to take care of you." He chuckles, stroking the skin out of it as I let out a chuckle.

"Sure, we should go now, then." I nod, standing on my foot and exit the room to find Niall and I find him in his old room, taking in everything he used to stay five years ago. I walk up to him and wrap my arms around his waist. He turns around and his eyes are dazzling like usual, but I just can't get enough of the way his eyes illuminated through mine, mentally.

"What did my dad tell you?" He asks, leading me to the bed.

"That, my dad's grave is here." I sigh.

He suddenly smiles, he grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers together. "I remember every detail of your dad, Melanie. He's a hardworker and he's a loving father. A whole month I spent with him was amazing and he talked about you and your mum—well, even if him and your mom weren't together anymore." He chuckles, leaving my eyes glossy. "At one point, I thought that his daughter must be really beautiful, I swear." He nods, looking at our fingers that are locked. "And, I spent time with him, fishing, talking, playing soccer, golf and he taught me to play cards. Before he goes to sleep, he always takes a look at your baby photo and kisses it. He showed me a drawing of yours and, well, I wasn't wrong at all. She's really pretty, I said. And damn, was I right. She's beyond beautiful." He strokes my cheek as I try myself not to cry. "I insist him to show me your photo but he kept it to himself, he didn't have it, he told me." He leads me to sit on the bed. "Then, I thought that your dad only has a month to spend, so, I figured I should make the best of it. Just what you did to Thomas." He grins, looking down at the ground.

"He worked too hard and so, so serious. And after a long period of him working his ass off, I always asked him to do activities. Or if he's really tired, I could just sit and watch tv with him or talk about you or even talk about nonsense shits. He's really funny, and, he drew me a picture of myself. I can't fucking find it. It's nowhere to be found." He takes a full deep breath. "Then the night when he died, I keep on crying and he said to me that I'm just like the perfect son he ever wanted. My dad came behind me and held his hand. My dad told me to leave and give them privacy. My dad cried the moment your dad exhaled his last breath." His eyes are watering. "You make it all make sense, now, Melanie. I had completely forgotten about him before you came around. His name seems unfamiliar to me, until you came into my life.

"The way we met, when I looked at you, it's like I looked at someone that used to be a part of my life. Somehow I was too stupid to see that you're Melanie Richards, the girl who I supposed to take care of and spend my life with." I pull him into a big warm hug as I feel my eyes are starting to flesh. I somehow recall the last month I spent with Thomas, I can't believe Niall had experienced it too. Maybe Thomas is with my dad now, feeling proud that their plan has worked out the way it supposed to be and I'm glad to found Niall in my life.

"I love you, Niall. I love you so much." I hug him tight, the issues I had of being paranoid of those three simple words doesn't haunt me anymore, because how many times I tell him that I love him, I know deep down he will never going to leave me. He will always be here, to protect me.

"I love you too, Melanie." He crushes his lips against mine and he kisses me as if he will never be able to feel my lips anymore. He pulls away and plants a kiss on my nose. "We have to go, your dad's waiting." He winks, leading me to the door and out of the big mansion his dad has.
