MELANIE RICHARDS

“You know, Niall. I started to be a little uncomfortable because of you hugging me the whole time.” I say as I try my best to get away from his grip, trying not to blush as well. “And I started to get a little freaky.” I joke.

“What?” He lifts his head to me then makes a huge grin out of it. He has this cheeky grin that everyone adores. And I love it.

“I’m just kidding, get off of me.” I nudge his body away with my elbow, making him pout. I hold the urge to kiss his lips.

When we finish the movie, we get out of the theatre then he leads me to the car that he parked on the driveway.

“The movie sucks, it’s not that scary as I expected it to be.” I remark as I get in the car.

“Yeah, you shut up.” He points his index finger on me. I laugh and stick my tongue out. “Ready to go home?” He asks

“No, let’s go somewhere else.” I take a moment to think where to go. I want to experience things, only with Niall. I trust him and I don't want this night to just end, yet.

“Shoot.” He lays back on the driver's seat.

“Oh! Let’s go take some shots!”

“What? No.” He scoffs.

“Why? I mean, I’ve never experienced it before. And I really want to do it with you.” I beg. I hold his arm for support. Or just to touch him and hold him.

“Fine, we'll take 2 shots and then go.” He smiles.

I scowl. “2? I picture it more like 6 or--"

“What? You haven’t even tasted it yet!” He gestures his hands during the conversation. “What if we go there, and let’s just see how it goes?” He tilts his head to the side, asking for my opinion.

“Fine. Fine.” I give up as I let go of the grip and let him drive. As we get there, we found a little pub in the corner. The street is nearly empty and all I can see is the dimmed lights leading through the driveway.

“Come on.” Niall leads me to the pub. The air is chilly so Niall hands me his jacket leaving him with only his V neck grey t-shirt. The jacket is full of his sweet scent. It’s not a cologne. It’s his scent.

As we get into the pub, there are only 5 or more people inside. Just a couple of drunken middle—aged guy that spends a night here after their late night work. We sit down at the bar as Niall shifts his eyes to me. “Do you really want to do this?” Niall convinces me.

“Are you serious?” I roll my eyes and call out the guy in the back.

“Straight up.” He says.

“2 shots of tequila.” Niall pleas. He flickers his eyes to me, again. This time, he’s blushing. “Your nose and cheeks turn red.” He giggles poking my cheeks.

“If I get chilly, I turn into tomatoes.” I chuckle.

“You look cute.” He hottily-handsomely-sexily-seductively smirks. I hold my grin and end up blushing.

“Here you go.” The earlier men serves our shots then leaves.

“Ah,” I grab the little glass. “should we—uh,” I focus on the glass.

“Cheers.” He lifts the glass. He smiles shyly as he takes the shot.

As I drink up the liquid, the hot burn runs down my throat making me nauseous. I hate how bad it tastes but I love how it vastly affects me to my brain.

He laughs. “You want some more?” He asks.

It takes a little while for me to answer, to study the liquid. “Yeah, let’s do some more.” I tap the glass and the guy pours us the liquid down to the shot glass. Niall doesn't even have time to lift it up, I already take the whole liquid into my mouth. Niall stares at me as if he never sees anyone in his life that eager.

I drink the liquid for almost my 5th shot now. Niall doesn’t even touch his tequila since the second shot.

“You’re not fun. Come on! Drink some more!” I offer him the empty glass. He shakes his head and giggles. He hands me his full shot glass. I shrug then lift it again and pour it down to my mouth as the liquid—over again—runs through my throat. It’s burning inside of me, which I want to do it again and again. “It’s hurting but it’s pleasuring. I need some more.” I lift the glass but Niall holds my hand down.

“I have tequila back at my place. I don’t want to carry you all the way to your house, so why don’t you stay at my place?” Niall grips my shoulder.

“Okay.” I nod and feel a little fuzzy than before. But I can still manage myself. Five shots and I’m already turnt up.

He leads me out of the pub and by the time I get in the car, I lay my back on the seat and inhale. “How long does it take to get to your place? I really need it or probably just some water, cold water—to cool my throat down. God, I feel weird.” I’m talking too fast that I ran out of breath.

“Catch your breath. You’re not drunk. Just yet,” He convinces me, giggling at himself which makes me want to kiss him even more. Even in my drunken state, I can hold myself from him. I don't want to ruin a single thing. What if he doesn't like me as much as I do?

I feel like crying.
