As I park on her driveway, I unbuckle my seatbelt then I sigh. I take a look at her. She seems frustrated as she exhales then she unbuckles her belt.

“Uhm,” She licks her lips. Those lips I kissed earlier. “Look, uhm—I’m sorry for everything we did earlier.” She sighs. “I kissed you. I shouldn’t have showed up in there. I’m so sorry, Niall.” She buries her face on her palm.

I can’t believe she’s sorry. What for? It was beyond amazing how couldn’t she sees that? “What are you sorry for?” I mutter in breath, looking at the other way.

“That—maybe, I ruined everything.” She doesn’t lock her eyes into mine.

“Look at me, Melanie.” I lift her chin up to reveal her intimidating eyes, catching my whole attention. “The kiss. It was—I don’t know, the best kiss I've ever tasted. I’ve never felt a kiss such like it. And I don’t regret everything we had even the kiss.” I assure her. “Please, stop saying sorry because you should really start with saying you’re welcome.” I chuckle as I hold her cheeks that have turned into a deep shade of red. It's too cute not to look at.

She smiles, which makes her cheeks pop. “Well, I don’t want to rush things. But, I, uhm,” She sighs. “I have this feeling that I’ve been hiding. It’s about you.” She says but then she scrunches her nose, making me giggle by her little adorable gesture. “It doesn’t sound like I have a feeling about you, what I mean is,”

“I know—I know,” I giggle. “I have a feeling for you too.” I smile. “I like you.” I shrug, winking. She laughs as she shoves me by my shoulder.

“Okay,” She exhales, as if she has been holding it for a long time. “Do you want to—uhm, maybe you want to come inside and—“ She looks around at our empty space, looking for the right thing to say. “And, stay? For the night?” She shyly smiles. “If you want to.”

“Don’t you have school for tomorrow?” I ask her, can’t seem to hold my smile.

“I don’t feel like going to see people.” She sighs. “But, if you don’t want t—“

“I want to.” I answer her, feeling my face flush. “Come on.” I quickly open my door. Not to rush things, yeah? I shake my head then catch Melanie up who’s already on her way to the door. “What are we going to do?”

“I don't know.” She says as she opens the door and slowly walks to the stairs on her tippy toes. I don’t know why she does it. Maybe she doesn’t want to wake her mum.

The front bedroom door creaks open. “Hey, I thought you will be gone long.” My mom says as she gets out of her room. “Niall.” She points her mug to me.

MELANIE RICHARDS

I groan at the sight of my mom. “He’s going to sleep in here if you don’t mind.” I tell her.

She makes a teasing gesture that basically says ‘I know what you guys are up to’

“Mom.” I roll my eyes and slump my shoulders.

“Use protection.” My mom remarks as she walks pass us to the kitchen.

“Oh my God, mom. We’re not—we’re not,” I gesture my hands all the way around to scold her as I jump a few times. “Whatever.” I run up to the stairs leave out Niall alone.

I look back to the first level to see Niall, he doesn’t follow me. “Niall!” I call him loudly.

“Yes, I’ll be right up.” He shouts from downstairs. I don’t even want to know what he’s up to with my mom. I scoot myself up to my room and drop my things off on my bed then get un-ready by cleaning myself. I’m dead tired and I don’t even feel like getting a shower. I change into my sweatpants and sweater since it’s a little chilly then pull my hair up in a bun.

Niall hasn’t showed up yet. I have the need to be close with him and it's not normal. I just want to lay in bed and. . . talk things out with him. I think I like him a little bit too much.

I walk down the stairs to look after him. And there he is, in the kitchen counter with my mom. Making a late night tea as my mom walks pass me.

“Niall made you a tea.” My mom says as she takes a sip of her warm tea.

“Right.” I roll my eyes and walk over to Niall. He smiles holding a huge grin as he hands me the mug. I like his cuddly smile, it gives me comfort. I lead Niall to my room without swallowing my mom’s remarks throughout this whole night. Niall responds one by one and well, me, snapping around their remarks. I can’t believe Niall told my mom about the kiss! I’m all out of energy to get mad over it.

“I still can’t believe you told her.” I pout as we lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling pointlessly.

“I kind of had to. At the end, you’d tell her. You tell her everything. I know that.” He grins. I keep my pace on the ceiling.

“Yeah, mom told you.” I shake my head then shift my eyes up at him. “Do you think that it’s weird that this day has been a hella weird day ever?” I laugh tilting my head up a little.

“Yeah, massive.” He laughs, shaking his head. “But I’m grateful that Nathan came along. We wouldn’t have kissed if it wasn’t for Nathan.”  He turns his body to me, weighing with only his left elbow. Letting his face just about five inches from mine. His cheeks look so soft and I'm trying really hard not to touch it because I want to feel them so bad.
