Derek Shepherd had been to a lot of weddings in his life. Having four sisters and sisters who had friends and other family meant attending a lot of weddings. But this one was different. It wasn't exactly family but it felt so just the same.

Derek's old friend and former college roommate, Bradley Warren, was marrying his long time girlfriend who, over time, had become one of his friends too. Bradley was marrying Meredith Grey, the petite blonde who looked almost just the same as the day that Derek had met her.

The day that he met Meredith was clear in his mind, when he ran into her at the hospital that they both worked at. He never expected now to be sitting at her wedding as she married one of his best friends and he kicked himself for not acting on what he felt the first time that he met her.

She was beautiful, absolutely radiant in the white gown that fitted her perfectly. She was always beautiful but today, she was positively breathtaking. There was a plate of food sitting in front of him at the table that he sat at the reception, completely ignored as he watched Meredith dance with Bradley, her new husband.

"You shouldn't be thinking of screwing the bride on her wedding day. Not that I didn't screw a bridesmaid. But I at least wait until after the honemoon...lessens my chance of going to hell." Mark Sloan smirked as he sat next to his old buddy.

"I'm...seriously?" Derek raised an eyebrow, looking away from Meredith and over at Mark.

"I know that look." Mark picked up a bottle of beer from the table.

"You think you know...but you don't."

"Going to the strip club with me tonight?"

"How many times do I have to tell you no before you stop asking me that?"

"Fine." Mark rolled his eyes before reaching in Derek's coat pocket from the chair and pulled his wallet out. "Then go participate in the dollar dance and tell her how happy you are for her."

"I am happy for her." Derek grabbed his wallet back.

"Then go dance with her."

"I...maybe I will."

"Maybe you won't."

"Shut up." Derek groaned, taking a few dollars out of his wallet before throwing it back on the table.

"Yeah...yeah..." Mark pulled a one out of Derek's wallet, smirking as he stuffed it in his own coat. "Boy will never learn."

"I'll dance with her..." He muttered to himself as he got up from the chair, heading onto the dance floor and waiting for Meredith to finish speaking with someone, smiling as she turned around to face him.

"Derek!" The petite blonde's face lit up as she rushed over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Congratulations...Mrs. Warren." He laughed, his arms going around her waist.

"Mrs. Warren...." She breathed. "It's...it sounds okay?"

"Yeah...it...sounds great."

"Want to know what his wedding gift to me was?" Meredith giggled.

"Do I?" Derek laughed, smiling. Her laugh always got him.

"I get to call him Brad...instead of Bradley."

"That's a lot better then I thought it was going to be."

"And since I'm almost done with my internship...he's going to take me to Hawaii to celebrate and for the honeymoon."
