Her husband was back. It had been two days and Meredith Grey was pretty sure she was failing miserably at giving him a chance. She had been avoiding him at all costs, staying in different parts of the house until he came around to see how she was. It was odd and even felt like a pill of bull shit. He was being so attentive, bringing her flowers and presents if he had to run and do something. He even sent her an email before work, showing her a necklace he had ordered just for her. This wasn't Bradley, not even the old Bradley.

After he had served her breakfast in bed, she left for work as quickly as she could. She was at a loss. She wasn't going to lie that she was still in shock, completely confused about his sudden quest to be Husband of the Year after being such a crappy spouse for months. So she gave him a week, even though she didn't have a clue as the why. She had gotten so strong, not even expecting herself to come out and ask for a divorce. She had felt so wise and whole, the thought of letting herself be free. She had asked and the man she married was a lawyer. He had looked at her in a way she hadn't seen in months and it made her give him that one week. A stupid week.

But now she was at work and she needed to stop thinking about what made her back down. She had wanted a divorce, she still did but there was a week and maybe she would find herself. Maybe she would find out what she needed to really do. Maybe she would see that leaving him was a horrible idea or maybe she would realize she should have done it a long time ago.

As she walked down the hall, holding a chart regarding a ten year old girl who had fallen off the stage at her dance recital, she began to focus more on the office she was about to go into. They had fought when she last saw him and she honestly, wasn't sure she wanted to see him right now. Those stupid stomach aches were back and she needed a consult. As she knocked, she considered running to get sick into the trashcan, then convincing Christina or another resident to take over.

"Come in!" Derek called at the knock on his door. He was finishing paperwork from a surgery earlier in the day and was enjoying a break between patients.

"Hi." Meredith stepped in, still hiding behind the large office door. "Dr. Campbell's wife went into labor at Mercy West. He needs someone to take over for a consult this afternoon."

"Okay." Derek replied, not looking up at her yet.

"So far her scans are clean...just some neck pain, headaches and her eyes are slightly dilated." Meredith looked down at the chart. "Dr. Campbell had suggested that we keep her overnight for observation and Lexie...Dr. Grey is going to watch her overnight but he just wanted you to be the head on the case if anything goes wrong. I can send her labs your way."

"How old is she?"

"Ten."

"And you've done a CT and an MRI?" Derek asked, still looking down at the paperwork in front of him.

"Yes."

"I'll keep an eye on her."

"So I can tell her mother that you'll be down this afternoon?"

"Yeah."

"Alright. That's all I wanted to know." She replied, watching him for a moment.

"Great. Anything else?" He finally looked up as she stood in the doorway, holding the chart against her chest.

"I um...I left my shampoo in your shower."

"I know."

"I can get a new bottle." Meredith said, before turning away.

"I'll bring it to work tomorrow...you can have it back."

"Okay..."

"Anything else?"
