"I'm so sorry...I can be so clumsy sometimes. I just...fall and there's something in my way and I end up here in the emergency room. They should just have their own bed for me I'm here so much. But this time...this time really wasn't my fault. I mean...I tripped...I had to get out. I was either going to throw up or pass out. I don't know which one would have been better...

"I guess I should have expected it...He was so distant all the time. He kept getting these random phone calls from blocked numbers but of course he knew who it was. I was just an idiot. And he never wanted to have sex anymore. I mean...when we got together...we were like animals. We'd do it anywhere...anytime. And now...well I see why. He was having sex with that stupid blonde girl from his office. I should have known. Once a cheater always a cheater. But I had to try you know...I love him. But I guess this is it....walking in on him...that was the last straw." Jennifer Barnes explained as Meredith stitched up a gash on her elbow that she had gotten when she tripped running out of her bedroom. "Dr. Grey?"

"What? Oh...um...you're going to be fine Jennifer. Just a few stitches." Meredith finished up as she snapped back to reality.

"Thank god...Last time I was in here I ended up with ten stitches on my forehead." She pointed to a existing scar.

"Hmm...do you have any questions?" Meredith asked, tossing her gloves into a wastebasket.

"I come back in a week to have the stitches out?"

"Got it." Meredith smiled weakly. "The nurse will be in with the typical care form."

"Thank you Dr. Grey." Jennifer smiled.

"Not a problem." Meredith stepped out from the curtain, after hanging the chart on the ER bedside. She walked down the hall, away from pit. After the other night, she wanted nothing more then to just focus on work and getting her husband to look at her. That would fix things.

"Mer!" A familiar voice called.

"Huh?" Meredith looked up to find Christina running towards her.

"Who'd you piss off to get pit duty?" Cristina caught up to her.

"Bailey wanted to take part in the domino surgery upstairs...I offered to take her place down here."

"You didn't want in on the domino?"

"No...I don't really care."

"Okay...what's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong."

"You passed up a domino and nothing is wrong. Nice try, Mer."

"I just wanted to help Bailey out." She sighed.

"Uh huh." Cristina rolled her eyes.

"So...are you still playing the kissing game with Damaged Army doc?"

"Don't call it that."

"Then what do we call it?"

"I don't know." Cristina shrugged, checking her pager.

"Waiting for him to page you?" Meredith giggled tiredly.

"No..."

"Uh huh."

"I'm not."

"Okay." Meredith took a pen from her pocket, signing off on a chart at the nurses station before continuing down the hall with her friend.

"He has a trauma that he won't let me in on." Cristina groaned.

"Oh..."

"Thinks I'm fragile or something."
