CHAPTER 25: Taking A Step Forward To Her

It's 6 am in the morning and I already here at Abbi's house. Nikka and her are still sleeping according to Lola and I am here helping them with the chores. I already have a talk with them na liligawan ko si Abbi and they just approved me with it. Hindi naman mahirap kausapin sina Lola at Lolo and my intentions are real towards Abbi. I want her genuinely. Abbi's grandparents are cleaning their front yard at tumutulong ako mandilig ng halaman. After a while, the front door open and there Abbi stands na halatang kakagising pa. Napakagulo ng buhok niya at may dumi pa ang kaniyang mga mata.

She open her eyes widely trying to clear her vision. When she realized na nakatingin ako sa kaniya, ginusot niya ang kaniyang mga mata na parang she can't believe that I'm standing at their front yard. I smiled because she's so cute while doing that.  She suddenly turned back and walk inside awkwardly. I just laugh at her reaction and minutes later she came back at maayos na ang kaniyang buhok and it's obvious that she washed her face before coming back outside. She walk close to her grandparents and greeted them a good morning. She suddenly walk towards me fiercely. Damn. She's getting cuter and cuter.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" tanong niya sa akin. I smiled and responded, "I'm courting you in a traditional way" she suddenly put her hands on my mouth and signaled me to shut up. Lumingon siya to her grandparents and said, "Huwag kang maingay baka marinig ka nila" I laugh upon hearing it from her. "They already know" I said sweetly to her. Her eyes widened and shockingly gasp. "Baliw kaba Xavier?" agad niyang sabi sakin while throwing a fist on my shoulder. "Yes, baliw na baliw sayo" I replied while grinning. Her expression changed into a disgusting one. "Bahala ka nga diyan" sabi niya while walking away from my direction.

After we cleaned the yard, Abbi's grandparents invited me for breakfast. When we sit at the table, Abbi's grandparents planned na itabi kaming dalawa and when Abbi realized it, she move her chair towards her Lola. Abbi's grandparents notice Abbi's action. "Pakiabot nga ng pinggan kay Xavier" sabi ng Lolo ni Abbi sabay kindat sa akin. Abbi don't have a choice kaya she handed me a plate. I want to laugh hard because her expression is so funny. Mabilis na natapos sa pagkain ang Lola at Lolo ni Abbi, it's obvious that they intentionally finished the meal so that they can give time for me and Abbi. I heard Abbi's Lolo clearing his throat indicating me to take this time to talk with Abbi. "Tapos na po kayo agad kumain La, lo?" tanong ni Abbi while her geandparents are walking away from the dining table. Abbi just only started her meal so she doesn't have a choice but to finished it.

She turn her head towards me so I move closer to her. Agad naman niyang inilayo ang kaniyang mukha sa akin. I smiled playfully again. She suddenly grab the fork and face it to me. I hurriedly raised my hand and said, "Woah, calm down" I said while moving myself away from me. "Pagkatapos nito umuwi kana sa inyo" she said while eating a piece of meat. "Nope, I will miss you if I'll go home" she face the fork again on my eyes so I back up. "Okay, okay I'll go home" Binawi niya ang fork kaya nagsalita ako ulit, "I'll go home after lunch, I guess" sabi ko while standing up baka she'll face the fork again. She grab her slippers and throw it to me. I catch her slippers and walk closer to her. I touch her feet and move it closer to me. Agad niyang binawi ang kaniyang paa but I grab it again with full of force so that hindi niya mabawi ito. I gently slip her slippers on her feet and look at her.

She's just staring at me while I'm doing that to her. Her face is damn serious threatening me to leave her alone. I smiled playfully at her kaya she grab a bread on her plate and throw it at my face. I suddenly close my eyes because some particles from the bread enter my eyes. I panicked and stand up finding where the sink is. Agad naman na tumayo si Abbi at itinulak ako papunta ng sink. She open the faucet and immersed my face towards the water. "Baliw ka ba?" she asked me while I keep massaging my eyes with water.

"I never expected you will throw me a bread on my handsome face" I replied to her and she laugh sarcastically. "Go homeeeee" she said while stomping her small feet on the floor. I slowly opened my eyes at unti unting naaninag ang maaliwalas na mukha ni Abbi. She is furiously looking at me while her hands are crossed and her feet is constantly stomping. I smiled because of her cute gestures. Nahuli niya akong nakangiti kaya nagsimula na naman siyang nagsalita. "Is there anything funny?" I shook my head and move closer to her. "I hope magmana ang mga anak natin sayo" sabi ko sa kaniya in a sweet tone.

Lalong nanlaki ang butas sa kaniyang ilong at kinuha ang face towel sa sink. Hinampas niya ito sa akin while she's shouting and begging me to go outside their house. Bigla kaming napahinto sa ginagawa namin when Nikka pass through us while holding a towel and a toothbrush. She look at us curiosly. "Hindi ko alam may bugbugan pala dito" she said while putting her toothbrush on her mouth. Abbi put the towel down at lumakad palayo sa kusina. Nikka just throw me a blank expression on her face. "Never mind us, just go ahead" sabi ko kay Nikka and sumunod naman na lumabas sa kusina.

Abbi is currently using her phone while texting someone. I slowly move towards her and sumilip on her phone and try to look who's she's texting with. When she realized that I'm at her back, she moved the phone away from me at lumipat sa kabilang sofa. She throw a look at me kaya I cleared my throat and sit down on the sofa. Abbi's phone rings and her expression changed from a frustrated one into a happy, smiling face. She tapped the call and answered sweetly.  "Kris, salamat at napatawag ka" I rolled my eyes when I heard that name.

I stand up and grab the remote control. I tap the play button at nilakasan ng sobra ang television in order to hinder their phone conversation. Abbi grab a pillow on her side and throw it on me. She raised her hand and put it on her neck signaling me to turned off the television or she'll kill me. I rolled my eyes and tap the off button. I crossed my legs and listen to their conversation. "What time do you want us to meet up? May gusto din akong itanong sa iyo" Abbi said while enjoying her sweet phone conversation with that cardiologist.

"Oh yes, right now? I'm free right now. I can meet you right away" halos mabingi ako sa narinig ko kay Abbi. It's just there's a weird annoying feeling that suddenly submerge and at this point I want to kill a damn chicken. Abbi take a glance on me and when she saw my stoned expression, she smiled more widely and talk more sweetly. "Okay, let's meet" she said while turning her head away from me. I stand up because I feel my head boils up. I walk towards the electric fan and turned it on even its raining slightly outside. I faced the electric fan on me and tap the highest level of it. "Yes, sure. I'm excited to see you" sabi pa niya habang tuwang tuwa pa. I suddenly stand up and take off my shirt in front of her. Her eyes grew wider dahil sa ginawa ko.

"ANG INIT. I'LL GO TAKE A SHOWER ABBI" I said to her in a shouting voice so that Kris will hear me on the other line. I heard Kris asked Abbi who's the guy talking on Abbi's background and when I heard that I grin at her. Abbi's face is expressionless while still staring at me. She hurriedly turned off the call at lumapit sa akin. "Baliw kana talaga Xavier" sabi niya na tila galit na galit na talaga sa akin. "Umuwi kana kung hindi mo gusto na ako ang kakaladkad sa iyo palabas" she said while threatening me. Umupo ako sa sofa while staring at the ground.

"I'm sorry, I just overreacted" I said in a low voice. She crosses her arms and said, "Kahit kailan ang immature mo, you're so childish Xavier. You know I can no longer put up with your childish attitude" Hearing her voice, I can sense that she's angry already. She put her phone on her pocket at lumakad papuntang itaas. I followed her but when we arrived at the front of her room, she slammed the door on my face. I leaned close to the door and slightly knock the door but I heard her shouting, "Umuwi kana" kaya hindi ko nalang pinatuloy ang pagkatok sa kaniyang pintuan. I walk downstairs and nakasalubong ko ang bagong ligo na si Nikka.

She's looking at me suspiciously. I just shrugged my shoulders and signaled her na galit si Abbi sa akin. She just nod a little and talk, "You shouldn't pursue a woman like that Xavier" she said while drying her hair using the towel. "But, that's who I am" I replied instantly. She just shake her head constantly. "Woman loves effort and hinding-hindi nila matatangihan iyon" Nikka said and walked pass by me. I hurriedly followed Nikka and asked. "What do you mean?"

"You're smart" she responded while pointing her fingers on her head. Agad kong kinuha ang aking phone and ask Google for suggestions. I search for tips and advices how to make a woman fall in love with me. Umupo ako sa sofa while doing my searches and after some minutes of looking, I finally pick up some things that I will plan to do to make Abbi fall for me. I smiled while sliding my phone on my pocket and confidently walk outside their house. As I walk towards the gate, lumingan ako sa bintana and smiled,

"You will be mine Abbi, you will be"
