"It was a fine night and every successful CEO's are gathered here tonight at the CEO of the Year Grand Ball" reported by the newscaster as everyone are dressed up so nicely in the ball. "I'm glad you're here Xavier" one of my friends in the field of business greeted me. "I won't miss this chance" I said as I click my wine glass to him.

"I heard you're too famous" he added as we laughed at his comment. "Don't be silly. I'm just starting" I said and he laughed at my response. "Starting, huh? You're a celebrity in the business field now and yet you're starting. Are you scaring us?" He jokingly said. I just laughed and the program started when the emcee greeted everyone in the ball. We sat down to our assigned seats and after some events, the ball ended. It's almost midnight so I hurriedly went home after the ball and take a rest.

It's been two years already. Two years since she's gone. And I'm trying to live without her. Time by time, I miss her. All of our memories will always play on my mind every time I go to bed. It's hard for me sometimes. I failed to get to sleep because every time I closes my eyes, all I see is her. But I'm trying. I'm trying to live because that what she wants. I take a bath and do all my night routine. After washing, I go to bed. It wasn't easy for me. There are days that I still cry and there are days that I still want her to be here with me. I always divert myself to business. I started to focus on it and started to make her bucket list happen even that she's no longer here.

From time to time, I visit her grandparents which are happily living at Nikka's house. Steve has its own business now and both of them get married real time. I mean, a church wedding. I always go to trips together with her grandparents and I always make sure that they're healthy. I also go visit to the island from time to time, go farming, and even go to the cafe to reminisce all of our memories together.

"Daddy... daddy Xav" a little girl running towards me while her arms are spread. She's smiling at me showing her lost teeth. She hugged me right when she arrived at my arms. "I miss you Daddy Xav" she said as she gently touched my face. "I miss you too baby. How's school?" I asked her and she just shrugged her shoulders and said. "I hate school. Can I just skip school and play?" I laughed at her and said. "You really so much like me baby"

"Stop spoiling her Xav" a woman said as she approached us. She's holding a pink backpack and when the little girl saw her. She hurriedly hide on my back. "Come here Ari, I need to change your clothes" she said but Ari didn't even flinched. "Daddy, don't let mommy take me away from you. She's scary" she said but I just laugh. "Look, your own daughter is scared of you" she just smirked and drop the backpack on the couch. "I'll count one to five .... kung hindi ka pupunta dito, I'll force you to come" she said threatening her own daughter.

"Ikaw kasi Xav, lagi mong pinangtanggol ang anak ko kaya hindi na yan nakikinig kay Nikka" Steve said as he entered the room. Ari ran towards her Daddy Steve and binuhat naman siya kaagad ni Steve. Ari is Steve and Nikka's daughter. She's four and she loves to hang out with me. "Well, I should go before you'll beat me to death. By the way, I left some food for Ari" I said while grabbing my things from the couch.

"Foods, daddy Xav?" Ari excitingly said as she run towards the table. "I'll see him out honey" Steve said to Nikka and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. I smiled while looking at them. Lumabas kami ng bahay nina Steve and Nikka. When we arrived outside, Steve stop walking and face towards me. "So, anong plano mo Xav?" My forehead was crooked. "What do you mean plan?" I asked him. "To get married or something?" He asked. I just laughed and said, "I don't have any plans Steve so stop bugging me" I replied.

"I think Abbi will understand" he replied. I know that Abbi will understand but that thing didn't even crossed my mind. "It's just, I don't know" I shortly replied. Steve gently tapped my shoulder and said, "It's okay, well, we're family and we're here for you. No need to get married if that's so" Steve comforted me. "You're so drama. I need to go" I said jokingly as I waved my hand to him goodbye.

I drove my car away from their house. Marriage. I don't think I'll be able to love again. I don't think I'll be able to look for someone else again. I don't mind growing old, because I know that I'm not alone. Abbi's forever be here, here in my heart. I look at the rear view mirror and smiled.

She will be forever here.

My phone ting so I opened it and saw Carlos message. I opened it and saw a beautiful tree on it. I smiled upon looking at it. "It already blossomed" Carlo said as I watched the fully-bloomed tree in the picture. "Abbi's tree" I said smiling. Finally, the falling season is gone and a new beginning started to bloom. I hope that the autumn season of my life will be gone too and the spring of change will soon come.
