Red felt like hiding under the bedsheets. He was frightened about the thought of actually confronting Aleya about Cancer's murder. Aleya seemed so happy, and not to mention, she was his best friend. If he confronted her, that happiness could wash away, and their friendship could turn into hatred.

You know what? I'm just going to hide under the sheets. He thought. As he was crawling under the bedsheets, Link opened the door, holding plates of steamed fish. "What're you doing?" he asked. "Hiding from the world and hopefully my thoughts," Red mumbled as he hid his head under the sheets.

"Red... please sit up you need to eat." Link sighed as he put his food down. "Fine... but only because I'm hungry." Red groaned as he got out from under the sheets disappointed, he had to come out so quickly. "I hope you like steamed salmon; I still feel bad for giving you hearty bass that one time..."

Red chuckled remembering the time Link had given him steamed hearty bass not knowing about how much he hates it, and it makes him sick. Red didn't even realise until it was too late, just one bite of it made him vomit. "It wasn't your fault, remember, Salmon is fine though." He smiled before taking a small bite of the salmon. He tasted divine, like the goddesses and Hylia herself made it. He wanted to gobble it all up and yet he also wanted to savour it.

"What was on your mind before to make you hide under the bedsheets?" Link asked with his mouth full. Red laughed, unable to take Link seriously with his mouth full voice. Link looked confused "What? Is there something on my face?"

"I'm sorry! It's just, your voice when your mouth is full is so... silly!" Red struggled to not laugh through his sentence. Link chuckled and smiled with admiration, he found Red's laughter adorable.

Link leaned in and gently kissed his cheek making him freeze "You're adorable love." Red covered his face with his hands and squeaked a thank you. "You know what? When I'm done eating, can you please come under the sheets with me?"

Link smirked slightly, "Sure~" Red blushed, knowing what Link was thinking but said nothing. He ate up his fish, trying to savour every bite and devour it quickly. Once he was finished, he wished he wasn't, because now the divine steamed fish was gone.

Link grinned before hopping on the bed and getting under the sheets "Hurry up, you wanted to hide under the sheets with me, didn't you?"

Red chuckled before getting under the sheets next to him. Link wrapped his arms around Red, placing small kisses all over his face. Red laughed as he did so, allowing him to do so, he couldn't really complain, it felt nice to be given tons of kisses. "You're adorable, Red..." Link muttered, staring into his eyes. Red blushed and tried to hide his face but Link stopped him. "As much as you hiding your face while blushing is cute, I just want to stare at your face right now, so, please don't."

Red blushed more but held back the urge to hide his face. Link gingerly stroked his cheek before moving hair on his forehead to check out his bruise "Does it still hurt?" he asked softly. "A bit... but it's not noticeable if I'm focusing on something..." Red explained as he got closer to Link.

Link smiled before gently kissing his forehead, they didn't say anything for a while, only focusing on each other's warmth and their breathing.

"Link... I'm... I'm scared..." Red hesitantly broke the silence. "Why's that, darling?"

"I don't want to ruin how happy Aleya is or our friendship, Link, if I confront her... what if she hates me, what if she stopped being so happy?" Red felt his chest tighten and his breathing became heavier. "Red, breathe... I'm here, she won't hate you, I promise. You won't take away her happiness, I promise..."

"How do you know that Link? You can't see into the future... we don't even know if I can save you from Fire Blight Ganon... we don't even know if I am-"
