The birds were chirping as the sun rose, bringing on the new day with the slow pitter-patter of rain on the tent. Link watched as raindrops hit the ground, the blanket draped over him and Red snuggling up to his chest keeping him warm. He was, admittedly, worried about Red, especially after how quickly he had passed out the previous night.
The younger male's breaths were loud and harsh, especially now that he slept and, he couldn't help but wonder if he had caused harm by accidentally over-exerting his lungs... though it definitely proved to Link that they should hold off on... that kind of intimacy for a while.
He carefully lifted the blanket, looking at Red, his head moving with each breath Link took. Link smiled gently at him, not wanting to move a bit as to ruin Red's perfect sleep and end his hopefully good dreams.
He still didn't get to watch his love sleep for long as Red awoke from his sleep, letting out a harsh sigh as he opened his beautiful turquoise eyes, slowly moving so he could comfortably look up at Link's face, "Morning... Link..." he muttered, sheepishly smiling.
"Morning..." Link whispered, carefully moving down under the blanket so he was face to face with him, letting out a small whine at the pain in his hips.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah... yeah... just... a bit painful down there." Link chuckled.
Red frowned, "Do you think you can walk? Because if you feel like you're in too much pain I can get everything packed up." He didn't let Link respond as he took his cheek in his hand "I could even try picking you up if need be."
Link blinked before chuckling, "I assure you... you won't need to once I've eaten breakfast."
Red let out a hum of consideration before letting out a ragged breath, "True... but... at least let me get you dressed like you did me our first time?" He smiled sheepishly, Link chuckling in response, carefully sitting up so both his and Red's bottom halves were covered. Red carefully got his boxers before properly crawling out of the blankets, pulling all his clothes on before turning to Link.
Link smiled as Red started to put on his clothes, especially as the younger male blushed as he looked at the two dark marks he'd left on the blond's thighs. "I quite love them already, I call this one Crimson and this one Scarlet." Link teased, pointing to each mark.
Red instantly glared up at him, "That's really cheesy..." he muttered as he playfully punched his arm, Link laughed as Red shook his head, continuing to dress him. Red smiled at him once Link was fully dressed.
"Say... Red? What does cheesy mean anyways?"
Red blinked as he remembered that the famous Hateno cheese in which Hateno was well known for was invented 3 years at least after the current year they were in. "Uhhh... you'll find out in a few years..." he muttered after finding no explanation for what he had said. Link stared at him for a moment before slowly nodding in confusion.
Link dragged a bag closer, quickly digging through it, humming "How about something small for now? So we can hurry up and get to Zora's domain?" Red nodded in response, Link taking out some fruit.
Red watched as Link carefully sliced apples and bananas, arranging them in two bowls with wildberries before pouring some honey over them. Red stared down at the meal, his stomach growing at just how delicious it appeared.
Link chuckled slightly before handing one bowl to Red who instantly grabbed an apple slice, humming as he bit into it. "This is delicious! How come you've never made it before?!" Red asked once he finished chewing.
"Well, I guess I didn't feel like it was impressive enough, seeing as it's just honeyed fruit which takes no time or effort at all compared to other recipes." Link scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
