As the two passed an enemy camp full of Lizalfos, they saw the head of the stable nearing.

"Almost at Rito Village, Red." Link had told him. Red nodded wanting to say something whilst being wary of the Lizalfos who somehow didn't notice them. "Don't worry Red, they aren't gonna notice ya." Link reassured him with a small smile.

"A-are you sure?" Red muttered in questioning. Link nodded "They're kinda stupid." Red scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, "Heh, yeah." He chuckled lightly. Hades let out a sound that resonated between a human huff of annoyance and a whinny. "Oh, don't be so rude, Hades!" Red laughed. Link snickered as Hades started to try and shake Red off causing a small scream to come from the boy.

"C-Calm down! Hades stop!" Red yelled trying to soothe the horse. Soon Hades stopped and whinnied again. "You okay, darling?" The blond asked, smiling as the redhead blushed. "Y-yeah..." Red whispered using one hand to pull down his hood to cover his face. "Good," Link's eyes shone slightly with care "now, we're here..."

Red looked up from Hades to see the stable and a bridge nearby, he looked at where the bridge leads and then where all the other ones led to see what was quite obviously Rito Village. He let out a small gasp, visibly amazed at the sight of the village, though he couldn't help but wonder how it was kept up so well.

As Hades stopped, Red leapt off him and ran to the edge of the cliff letting out a little sigh of relief. "Link! Look how pretty it is!" Red turned around to look at Link who had hopped off Paralysis. Link stood beside him "Yeah... it's pretty," Link smiled and looked Red and the eyes, stroking Red's cheek with his thumb gingerly "but, not as pretty as you."

Red blushed "U-uh... I could say the same for you... heh" he muttered. Link chuckled as the blush slowly faded from Red's face. The slightly shorter male sighed once again "You know... if it weren't for me and Aleya coming to this time and meeting you... I would've never seen all these nice places"

"What do you mean?" Link asked. "Well, you see Link... my parents never really let me out the house unless it was for school... and after they... uh... kicked me out... I couldn't go too far out because I don't have a form of transport." Red explained.

Link felt a feeling of familiarity... but it was on a level it had only felt one before now. His eyes widened,

Red and Link sat down, on a large log overlooking Deya lake and Deya village. Red stared out at the view with a slight smile, admiring for what it was, beautiful and yet Link, was admiring him. Link couldn't figure out why, he only saw the red-haired boy as a friend, his best friend, right? He paid attention to every detail on Red's face, from his pretty turquoise eyes, to his cute little nose, to his lips that, while still looking soft, had a small scar going across both lips, near the right corner of each of them.

Red's smile didn't last however, as a frown took its place. He looked at Link, "Hey, Link? You..." he sighed "You don't mind if I tell you something do you?" Link shook his head to say no. Red smiled a bit before losing it again.

"Link... my father, he has always told me, that if I didn't become a knight, like him, I would end up never getting a wife, that I would be a failure if I didn't become a knight" Red's voice was quiet. Link nodded giving him a sympathetic stare. Red continued "but, to be honest, I don't want to be a knight... I... I want to be an ancient researcher! I want to research the guardians! I want to find out how to open the shrines!"

Link had known this already, from a young age, back when they met, Red had always told him this, but he listened anyway. He wanted to have Red know that he was always going to listen to him, be there for him, no matter what. "I don't care if I never get a wife and kids... I don't even think I want a wife to be honest..."
