Red picked at his food, not feeling very hungry despite his lack of lunch that day. He couldn't stop wondering about Aleya, Sidon and the baby. He wanted to see how they were all doing... but he couldn't... not until they were ready. He wondered what the baby looked like, what gender it was, was it more Zora or more Hylian?

"Red, you okay? You need to eat you know." Link interrupted his thoughts. "Oh... yeah, yeah, I'm okay... just wondering about... ya know." Red trailed off as he started to go deep into thought again, before Link interrupted it, again.

"They should be fine ya know, Aleya's probably tired considering she barely has been getting enough sleep plus the whole getting a baby out of her, plus she and Sidon would most likely want plenty of alone time with the baby." Link said reassuringly as he moved closer to Red. "Yeah... but aren't you wondering what the baby looks like? What about its name? Hylia, we don't even know the sex of the baby! I'm just excited but at the same time nervous..." Red babbled as he finally let all his current thoughts out, feeling relieved once he had finished his slight ramble.

Link smiled gently at him, ruffling his hair "Said exactly what I was thinking, dear, but, with way more excitement..." he muttered before pressing a small kiss to his forehead. Red hummed slightly as he leaned his head onto his shoulder "Thanks, Link..." he whispered, "Huh?"

"For empathising, I guess..."

Link chuckled lightly, "No problem."

The two sat in silence for a minute or two, Link eating up what was left on his plate while Red watched the bustle of Zora's Domain. Many hushed whispers were going around that day, most of them consisting of talks about the newest addition to the Royal Zora family, Red could tell that most of the Zoras were excited, it wasn't very surprising considering how much each one of them cared for the family. Each hushed whisper only built his wonders up more, there were no recordings of a hybrid between species happening in history, with the exception of the Gerudo and Hylians, though that didn't count technically.

"You're still not eating..." Link nudged him carefully. "Right, right... sorry." Red laughed awkwardly before looking at his dinner, mushroom risotto, he hoped that he had managed to do his part of cooking it correctly. He opened his mouth before putting a spoonful of the risotto in his mouth. He then grinned before full-on digging in.

He blushed once he noticed Link's proud smile, "What's with that smile?" he asked quietly. "Well, one, the risotto was perfect, especially the mushrooms, mostly you cooked them and two, you're just... so adorable..." he grinned as he leaned closer to Red "...how did I get with you?" he asked, his lips so close to Red's that they were brushing against them.

"Because you're perfect... and... you were dumb enough to get with me..." Red whispered as he gently pressed his lips to Link's. "And can you tell me how was it dumb to get with you? Because honestly, I think it was the smartest decision in my life..." Link's voice was low as he pulled away, cupping Red's cheeks. "I'm not even close to your league... I'm way below it in fact."

Link sighed, shaking his head, "You know for a fact that it's the exact opposite."

"No-"

"Shhhh... I'm not going to argue~" Link smiled as he gently pressed a finger to Red's mouth and brought him closer. Red pouted for a second before smirking and quickly biting on Link's finger, Link yelping in response. "See~ It was dumb choosing to have me as your boyfriend." Red chuckled as he gently kissed it as some sort of an apology, he wasn't that mean. Wait- was he mean??

"No, that was just kinda surprising and cute. You didn't even bite hard enough to leave a mark, see?" Link smiled as he showed it to him. "Do you want me to?"
