Sidon lay beside Aleya; worry filled his mind. She had just barely gotten to sleep and even then; she stirred a little. He found himself staying awake from the worry, unable to sleep as the thoughts kept swimming through his head. He had been unable to find the right time to confront Aleya about her lack of taking medication as well, he had more and more meetings to attend with Muzu and his father and when he got time with Aleya it just felt... wrong to break the mood of the moment to confront her of such a thing.

Maybe if Mipha were around, she'd know what to do... she was always good at cheering people up and understanding them... and yet here he is... unable to keep his love happy. Mipha would be ashamed of him...

He quickly sat up when Aleya let out a small whimper in her sleep. She stirred a little before going back into the unsteady sleep. Sidon sighed and put his face in his hands, he needed to take a long walk... a big, long walk to release his stress. But he couldn't leave Aleya alone, not while she was like this. If he were to leave now, she could wake up and panic seeing he's not there and then... she may get herself hurt in her panic. He felt sick at the thought.

He looked out the window and his eyes widened as he noticed the sun rising. He really did not sleep last night?! He smiled slightly to himself at the thought of Aleya stealing his sleep, though his eyes felt heavy. He stood up and walked towards the window, opening it to let some fresh air in before he put his jewellery on.

He then bent down and kissed Aleya on the forehead gingerly. "Keep asleep, Love, I'll only be at a couple of meetings." Sidon whispered, a small smile on his face as he then left for the meeting. Aleya only sighed in response.

As he walked throughout the Domain, he felt the cool air hit his frame, yet doing nothing to help the ever-growing thoughts of his love. As he steadily approached the Throne Room, he nodded towards Bazz as a greeting, still quiet so that the young ones still sleeping didn't wake up.

Upon making his way up the stairs, Dorephan smiled "Good..." he stopped and let out a loud, deep yawn "... morning, Sidon."

Sidon bowed to his father, his left arm folded in front of his abdomen, the other folded behind his back. "Good morning, father. May I ask on the reasoning for the meeting being earlier than usual?"

He watched as his father let out a small hum, contemplating on if he should. "I believe that will become apparent during the meeting; we have a couple of things we need to discuss. Of course, I believe first and foremost is who you will marry, Sidon. I believe you wish for the Hylian girl? What was her name? Aleeyah?"

"Aleya, father. And yes, I do plan to court her," Sidon replied. "I believe it shall be another month until she gives birth, though it has reached the time where they can come out earlier, though it still may be a while."

King Dorephan nodded, taking this information in. "Very well, I trust that you will find the right time to- what do the young Zora say? 'Pop the question'?"

Sidon felt himself slowly deflate at his father's inexperience with understanding the young Zora's way of speaking. He wanted to become a child again and sulk in the corner, but his pride prevented him, so he just stood there awkwardly hoping his father wouldn't notice, "Y-yes... father..."

The King grinned, "I can't wait for that day..."

He then quickly changed the subject to construction around the domain. But Sidon found himself only nodding along as the lack of sleep already started to affect him. Internally he prayed he would get through the day.

**time skip brought to you by the fact that meetings are boring**

Sidon yawned as he walked out the throne room, his eyes felt heavy, he didn't even realise how much of the day had passed already... he sighed and started to make his way towards his room, hoping to get some time with Aleya.

However, on his way to his room, he couldn't help but notice Red and Link... in a mini fight over a pot?

"I RARELY GET TO COOK, LINK! LEMME COOK!"

"But darling~ I wanna cook you all the foods you love and deserve!"

"Ngh... Link. I'll let you cook dinner but please... let me cook for us this once... just because I failed the last time doesn't mean I suck at cooking all the time." Red gently pushed Link away from the pot and shielded it with his body.

"First of all, I loved that soup! Second, I'm not trying to say you suck at cooking, I'm just saying that I want to be the cook of this relationship." Link explained himself as he picked up his boyfriend who struggled in his grasp. "Being the cook of the relationship doesn't mean cooking 100% of the time, you dork! I can cook perfectly well!"

Sidon gently shook his head while smiling to himself as the two bickered. "Link! Red! Quit arguing and just cook together!"

The couple quickly turned their heads to him in surprise, clearly unaware that he had been staring at them before Link gave him a small, shit-eating grin. "Couldn't let us have the couple's moment before we actually choose to do the obvious thing, huh?" he joked. Red gently elbowed him. "Aw c'mon! I can see the laugh you're holding in!"

Sidon grinned as the two laughed amongst themselves before he continued his journey to his room. "Aleya! I'm back~!" he called out as he walked into the room. "Aleya??"

Panic immediately filled him as he heard a pained moan from the bathroom. "Aleya! Are you in there?! Are you okay?!" he yelled at the door. "I'm... I'm fine..." her voice was weak and not just the weak voice she had after being sick, it was far weaker than that. Sidon let out a breath, he needed to calm down, for Aleya's sake. He didn't want to panic her.

"May I come in?"

"Please..."

Sidon was careful while opening the door, not wanting to risk opening it quickly only for Aleya to be hit by it. She was curled up in a ball in the corner of the bathroom, facing away from the door. "Aleya..." Sidon spoke gently as he slowly made his way to her, though she didn't reply.

She slowly looked up once Sidon bent down next to her, she was covered in sweat and pale. "Honey... what's wrong?"

"I said... I'm fine..." she mumbled before her face contorted in pain and she let out a small sob. Sidon felt panic grow inside his heart, worry for Aleya and their baby fuelling his mind. "Aleya... please... tell me..." he whispered trying to keep the little piece of rational thinking he had. "It's probably just false contractions..."

Sidon took one of her hands in his "Are you sure?? 100% sure??" his voice was quick and barely intelligible, "I can take you to the midwives... or the doctor..."

"Sidon. The midwives here laid eggs... I doubt they're going to help..."

"Still! You never know!"

Aleya opened her mouth before only screeching in pain, digging her nails into Sidon's hand, him holding in a scream as she did so. "WE ARE GOING TO THE DOCTOR NOW!!" He yelled as he picked her up, admittedly panicking as he ignored his girlfriend's weak protests and attempts to get out of his grip.

He almost knocked over a visibly panicked Red, who had heard Aleya's scream, as he ran, he would've apologised if he hadn't zoomed too far away by the time he had realised. It didn't help that Aleya started letting out more pained cries and was literally in tears from the pain that she was going through.

"She's giving birth! Sir! She's giving birth!" Sidon yelled at the receptionist who barely got a chance to speak. "R-Right- doctor!" "Already here! Come along."

Red and Link came in as they followed the doctor, Sidon couldn't tell what they were saying but he could guess that it was about Aleya. However, that wasn't important now, Aleya was in pain and literally birthing early and he didn't know whether or not she and the baby would be okay.

His mind was racing as he placed Aleya on the bed and took her hand in his, he prayed to the goddesses that she and the baby would be okay. He didn't know how he would handle this not going well...
