Chapter 12

"You're bluffing, aren't you Aleya?" Red asked quietly. "I'm not!" Aleya argued, still clutching her stomach. "Aleya, tell us the truth..." Red gave her an intense glare.

"Do you really want to know?" Aleya asked, her voice was unusually weary. Red and Link both nodded. Aleya mumbled something under her breath before looking up at them again "Promise you won't get mad but, Sidon..." she paused.

"Sidon what?" Link asked. Aleya however was looking for the right words to say, for what she was about to say was, rather shocking to say the least. "Sidon... SIDON FUCKING KNOCKED ME UP!" Red stared at her shocked "Heh, nice try Aleya... people simply can't know their pregnant after a few days. It takes 2 weeks for symptoms to show." the male said in pure denial. Aleya looked at the redhead. Pointing at her closed hand, she glared at him. "I never get stomach aches from the shit I take, Red, I've become immune. And after recent events, I decided to check."

Opening her hand, they looked in disbelief at what was in her palm. A positive pregnancy test "Surely... surely that's fake..." Red squeaked a little. Aleya shook her head. "No, Red, it's not." Link looked at them confused "What is that??" He asked. Red and Aleya looked at him.

"Right... Pregnancy tests probably don't exist in this timeline..." Aleya muttered. "A pregnancy test is what women use to see if they've become pregnant." she deadpanned. Link whispered an 'oh'. "This can't be happening... THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" Red pulled slightly on his own hair "ALEYA YOUR 16! YOU CAN'T HAVE A BABY!"

"Oh yes I can" Aleya muttered. Red's vision went wavy before he fell face first on the floor. "I'm not ready to be an ankle..." Red groaned. Aleya choked slightly on laughter before she regained her posture. "You aren't with that attitude, I've still gotta tell Sidon..."

Link carefully lifted Red up, who was very pale with shock "You go do that... I'll bring Red to bed..." Carrying him out in his arms, Aleya turned and left the Inn, the pregnancy test in her hand.

Link gently placed the still shook Red onto the bed they shared. Red looked at Link "Link... she must be joking right...?" Link shook his head. "No, I don't think she was anyways..." he whispered gently as he climbed into the bed next to him not bothering to get changed. "There's no way this isn't a dream! You know what, I'll probably wake up tomorrow and then it turns out today didn't happen!" Red mumbled as he rolled over. Link's expression softened with love and affection for how the boy was.

I wish she was joking... His thoughts ran through his mind on how they were going to travel to Rito Village. They'd have to keep Aleya here, in Zora's Domain, under the care and protection of Sidon. Aleya would have to comply as she knows the state that she's in means she is unfit to travel, which means their defence would be down a number. He lay in bed next to his beloved with scenarios racing through his head.

I'll ask her if I can take her guns with us, it'd give Red more of a chance to fight... He confirmed. Reminding himself to do that, he drifted off to sleep, arms draped around the now peacefully sleeping boy, pulling him closer to his chest. Nuzzling his head into the crook of Red's neck, he fell asleep in seconds.

*** Time skip cuz yeah***

Red woke up to the clanging of what he thought was his sword, as the metal sound echoed throughout the room, he shot up, only to see Link trying to leave the room. "Sorry, I was trying to let you sleep longer, I had to talk with Aleya about what we're gonna do..." He looked sheepishly at the ground, laughing nervously. Red's surprised expression faded into a soft smile. "It's all good, Link." He reassured.

Link smiled as he stood the sword back up, closing the door as he left. Red sighed. Might as well get ready, Link would want to leave as soon as possible. He lifted the covers up as he slid out. Walking out of the room, dressed in his Hylian set for travelling, he saw Link trying to reason with a very, very, tired Aleya.
