Chapter 9

(WARNING: Homophobia, abuse and the f slur all not put lightly in this chapter, trust me, Red's past is kinda messed up)

The young, white haired male awoke for another day. He sighed wishing that he had just stayed asleep as he heard his parents down stairs talking shit about the LGBT+ community for the millionth time in his life. Red got up and walked over to his closet putting on a black jumper. He hated it, his life, his parents were always controlling over him and always compared him to others. He couldn't even go to school without them calling in the middle of at least one of his classes.

He looked out his window, winter had just started and it was snowing outside. He smiled but then frowned when he remembered that his parents would be harder on him since school was nearly over for the term. He walked out his room and down the stairs and saw his parents, his dad was a purchasing manager, so he was in a suit ready for work. He had white hair and intimidating, red eyes his skin was also pure white.

"Red, have you heard? They're giving the 'gays' a movie! This society today is disgusting! Allowing faggots, a movie!" His father yelled. Red flinched at the word 'faggot'. He wanted to say don't call them faggots! but he knew it was no good. "O-oh, yeah it's disgusting..." he stuttered, faking agreement. His mother came over with some toast with eggs on them.

She had brown hair and the same turquoise eyes that he had. She smiled at him "Red, dear there's no need to stutter! Hylia is actually happy that you agree with your father! She didn't create the 'gays'! Demise did!" Red faked at smile "Oh, I-I know." that your lying... he thought to himself.

"I'm going to go to school now, I see you once you two when you get home from work tonight" Red smiled as he got up. "See you!" his father yelled. Red grabbed his bag and started walking to school. He wished he wasn't forced to be a closet Pansexual but, he would be in danger if he came out. The only one who knew was his best friend, Aleya. He came out after he realised that he had a major crush on a boy he didn't even know the name of.

Unfortunately, he very soon found out that boy had a girlfriend so it didn't really work out for him. He let out a soft sigh as he made it to the gates of his school, The School of Din. "Red! Hiiiii!" Red rolled his eyes when he heard Cancer. "Hey Cancer..."

Cancer's blonde hair was in two pig tails and she was wearing very revealing clothes for winter. Her face was also caked in make-up. "I'm cold~ it would be a shame to let a girl freeze~" Cancer got close to Red's face. "Why don't you go back home and get a jacket or something Cancer?" Red asked backing away and trying to walk past. "but we're meant to be~ and that means you should give me your hoodie!" Cancer told him as she blocked him once again.

"No, we're not! So please let me go to my locker!" Red pushed past her this time and started running towards the school. He made sure to run through crowds and make sharp turns to get away from Cancer. He huffed once he got to his locker, unlocking it he looked in the mirror that was put in every locker.

He felt unhappy about his hair colour, he wasn't even albino and yet he had white hair. The man he was named after had red hair, that was the reason he was named Red. Yet him, this Red alive today had white hair, what was the point of naming him after Red, brother of Groose who was one of the first Hylians to get off Skyloft and start living down on land rather than the sky.

He sighed as he got his books and closed his locker only to see Cancer... again. "Why'd you run from me babe?" she asked standing so close to Red he could smell her breath. He gagged at the smell "I'm not your 'babe' Cancer, leave me alone..." Red glared at her and moved away heading towards his class. When he felt two arms wrap around his neck.
