Imagine you're on a train, making your best attempt at staying productive for the duration of your 3-hour train ride. Originally, you had intended to just pass time on your phone or perhaps daydream as you watched the passing scenery. However, you've had this one new book that's been sitting on your bookshelf for months now. When you first bought it, you knew it would be an interesting read but you also knew you didn't have the time to sit down and actually get into the novel. And inevitably, that vicious cycle just kept repeating itself every time you thought you would start on it - you just "didn't have time."
When you first bought your train ticket, you allowed yourself to spend a little more money to sit in the cart with assigned seats. Consequently, up until you last checked, the seat next to you was empty - giving you the perfect tranquil atmosphere to start on your book. But just to your luck, with only a minute to spare before the train departs from the station, a stranger seats himself in the empty seat next to you. You had let out an internal groan when you first noticed your new neighbor, but once you caught a good glance at him your eyes widened in surprise subtly. His sheer attractiveness had caught your attention but you didn't dare say anything to him. Yet.
Now, it's been two hours into the ride and you're nearing the end of the ride. Luckily, the handsome male has remained rather quiet and you've made impressive progress with your book. But just as you turn the page, a quiet ringtone sounds from next to you and the stranger immediately answers the call, speaking with a hushed tone. You appreciate his attempt at keeping his conversation quiet, but there's only so much he can do when he's sitting less than a foot away from you. Aside from his call being a slight distraction to your reading, it's also hard for you to ignore the conversation he's having due to the topic itself. Your eyebrows raise in amusement as his words pique your interest.
Right when he ends the call, you finally find the courage you've been looking for the past couple of hours to speak up.
"Do you want my number?" you ask rather bluntly, turning to face him with a small smile. The handsome male frowns subtly, slightly confused.
"What?"
"You were speaking Japanese," you point out. "I spent a semester studying abroad in Japan so I understood the overall gist of what you just said. You told whoever you were on the phone with that you think I'm cute."
The stranger quickly tilts his chin downward, bowing his head in embarrassment, and you giggle when you notice the tips of his ears turning a bright red color.
"Shit," he mutters softly to himself before meeting your gaze again. "I didn't think you would be able to understand that. This is quite embarrassing."
"No need to be embarrassed. I think you're quite handsome," you shrug with a slight smirk. "I'm Y/N, by the way."
"I'm Riki."

Happy Monday, Dalgis! How'd y'all like this Riki Imagine? In all honesty, I know Riki really exudes the bad-boy image just based on his visuals/style alone, but I just have a gut feeling that he'd be a flustered mess if he were ever in a situation like this, haha.
I hope you guys are all staying safe, happy, and healthy! This week is my last week of summer courses before I get a 2-week break and I start my fall semester so I'm really excited for a slight break (even if I am still working full-time). I think I might do some shopping because my summer wardrobe is so sad right now, lol.
I love you all so much!
Until next week,
Dalgi Jungoo 🍓
