39 - Min Yoongi

Imagine some man is flirting with you as you try to grab a morning coffee. You roll your eyes and pull a tight smile onto your lips.

"I have a boyfriend, sorry."

The man raises his eyebrows in amusement before asking, "Really? Where? I don't see him here."

You curse inside your head and grab the nearest elbow you see in your peripheral vision.

"This is my boyfriend," you respond curtly, clearly irritated.

Silence fills the space in between you two for a few seconds and you watch with delight as the stranger's face turns from smug to surprised and finally to discouraged.

"Ah, I see. My bad."

When the man finally turns around to walk away, you track his movement with your eyes, ensuring to stay close to the random elbow you grabbed until the other man was gone. Finally, as the coffee shop door closes behind him, you release a deep breath before grumbling under your breath, "Why can't men just take no for an answer? Why do I always need to have a partner present for them to respect me as a human?"

"Because they're boys - not men," a familiar deep voice responds to your angry comments.

Your eyes widen when you realize where you've heard the voice. To your horror, when you turn your head to look at the owner of the elbow you had grabbed, your jaw slacks in surprise.

Out of all of the people you could have grabbed, you just had to grab your boss's boss - your big boss. Min Yoongi, the CEO of the company you work for.

"Oh shit." The words tumble out of your mouth faster than you can catch them.

You've only met Min Yoongi a handful of times. And even then, you've never talked to the man. You were simply standing in the room while your bosses talked to the CEO. You honestly doubt he knew you work for his company - let alone your name.

His eyes darken as they meet yours and a small charming smile pulls at the corner of his lips. "I will say, my morning is starting off with a fun surprise, Ms. Y/L/N. I didn't know I have a girlfriend."

Your muscles instantly tense when you hear Yoongi address your last name. You're certain you didn't give the barista your last name so there's no way he casually overheard it just now; which means the man standing in front of you knows exactly who you are and where you work.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Min. I had no idea that you were the nearest person-"

"C'mon, Y/N. We better head into the office if we want to make it on time. Plus, I ought to introduce everyone to my girlfriend, right?"
