Chapter 33
___________

On the fourth day, I woke up alone just like yesterday. And the day before. Not a single sign of Pansy and me sharing a dorm room.

Then I remember she took all her things and moved to Blaise's room. At night, when she thought I was sleeping and didn't hear her taking out her stuff from drawers. I did. I heard it all, yet I didn't bother to say anything. Because what could I possibly have to say to that?

She stood in front of my bed for a little moment, I know she did, because I heard her silent breath. I wonder what was going through her mind. I wonder why she left me. I wonder why I did not bother.

Zion took me to the Great hall for breakfast, I wish he didn't. I wish he didn't, because on our way there, I met Theo with his new fling. Me and Zion were walking through a long corridor, Theo and her were standing on a side by the wall.

Our gazes meet almost immediately after I walk closer and our eye contact remains for a little too long for his girlfriend's liking, because she grabs his chin and makes him press his mouth against hers.

I quickly turn away and try to erase that image from my memory while it's still fresh

I quickly turn away and try to erase that image from my memory while it's still fresh.

"She's just a bad copy of you," Zion whispers to me when we move pass them.

"Who?" I joke and look at him with smile on my face.

"Exactly."

He gently puts his palm on my back as he opens the door to the Great hall and lets me in. My eyes automatically land on the teachers table, desperately trying to look for Draco between all the professors. It comes to me as a disappointment and my heart aches when I don't see him there.

What did I even think?

He'd tell me if he returned sooner.

All of the voices and sounds of the morning breakfast come to my ears the moment I sit down, with Zion's hand still on my back. He's been very helpful these days and I can't be grateful enough for him.

I lift my eyes to see who's by the table and I am surprised when mine meet with Pansy's. She quickly glances at me and looks away. At first, I hold my tongue and try not to say anything about her change of rooms. But I can't hold it in myself.

"You moved out," I tell Pansy and lower my eyes from her to the food on the table.

She eyes me from up to down, her cheeks get red. She's embarrassed. "I thought you needed some space,"

"You didn't even ask,"

The tension between us can be sliced into little pieces. I don't have to look, I know the boys are exchanging taut faces.

"Because of the..." she starts, then pauses when Zion coughs all of sudden. I think it was on purpose to shut her up.

"Because?" I repeat.

"Girls-"

"Shut up," I groan at Zion with angry voice.

"Because of the accident," Pansy completes the sentence with shame all over her face.

The accident. I haven't thought about it for four days, and if she didn't bring it up, I wouldn't even remember it. I could say I was almost recovered.

'This is delicious," Zion murmurs with his whole mouth of waffles. He shows a sign with his arm to grab one as well.

"I'm not hungry." I say with clenched teeth.

"I'm sorry-"

"It was the worst day of my life," I say with my eye staring deep into hers, "and I really, really needed you, but you weren't there. Not for one day. And then you just move out?" I stand up from the seat.

"Louise, everyone's looking-" Pansy warns me, but I continue.

"And you dare to think I wanted to be alone?! Who would want to be alone after that? You turned your back on me-"

"I was-"

"I went through everything with you, everything. And you can't even stand to be on my side when some shit goes down,"

"I'm sorry, okay!? Don't shout at me!"

She was right, everyone's looking. Even students from other tables. But I'm already standing on my legs, ready to leave, when suddenly, two people stops by our table and greet us.

My body freezes, I refuse to turn to them. It's Theo and his girlfriend.

I can see Zion eyeing the girl behind me from up to down, then he looks at me and grins.

"Everything okay?" Theo asks from behind my back, I can feel his eyes on me.

With a deep inhale, I turn to both of them with a fake smile on my face. "No. She's being a bitch." I point my head at Pansy and hear her scoff.

I can't not notice the girl he brought with him staring at me. First, she looks at my legs, then moves her eyes to my breasts as she was comparing mine to hers, then, finally, she meets my eyes. She flinches her body as she realizes I'm looking at her as well.

"Will you introduce us?" I ask Theo. It's hard to keep my voice from sounding too bitchy.

"This is-" Theo starts, but she interrupts him.

"I'm Mia," her hand stretches out to shake mine. But I'm already turned to Pansy with my arms crossed my by chest.

"You forgot your towel." I say and walk out of the goddamn Great hall.

Day four. What a day.
