Chapter 60
___________
I wake up to a loud banging against glass. My body shifts forward and my forehead almost hits the big stone fireplace right in front of me. I realize two things: first, I'm definitely not in Draco's office and second, my whole body hurts like hell. If hell hurts.
It's probably because I've been sleeping on the ground for the whole night. With Theo next to me, bundled up with a blanket rolled up to his ears. He's really close to me, which means we've been cuddling and warming our bodies. The fire isn't cracking anymore, the flame is too small to even notice and it's utterly quiet in here.
Except for the thing that woke me up, obviously. It's the one stupid fish in the aquarium that just loves to annoy people by banging its head against the glass.
I sit up with a grunt and give the fish a death stare, after which it immediately turns over and swims away. Checking my phone, I realize it's early morning.
The breakfast starts around this time and the food is freshly made. I think I'll go grab something for us while Theo sleeps.
Standing up hurts even more than sitting up, but I manage to do it without any loud grunts to not wake Theo up. He's sleeping like a little baby - I can only see his eyes and forehead with messy lazy hair. I quickly brush through my hair and adjust my clothes so they don't look like I've slept in them and head out of the common room.
Not that it matters. The only people I meet are two girls from second year. Besides those two, no one else is in the Great hall. I've never realized how big this room is - it's always, always, been filled with students. My footsteps echo between the walls while walking to the tables with lots of food.
I grab croissants and bananas for me and some baguettes for Theo, but only the ones without pickles. He hates those.
Walking back to the common room, I try not to think about what might Draco possibly be doing. It's only seven and he's not really a morning person, so I assume he's still sleeping. I don't try to talk to him, though. I know better than that. I'll let him talk first.
By the time I get back through the whole castle, the croissants in my hand go from fresh and from hot to cold. A cup of coffee would be a perfect fit for this breakfast, but I'm not willing to go back to the Great hall. Shame it's not served in the common room - only non caffeine drinks like hot cocoa are allowed.
"Wake up, wake up, sleepyhead!" I say to no one in particular, because I'm pretty sure Theo's still sleeping.
Turns out he's not.
And he's not alone, too. There's a girl standing right in front of him and by their heavy
gestures, I immediately know they're having an argument about something.
My mouth instantly closes and I don't make any more steps forward.
But that doesn't help - Theo's girl has already noticed me. She eyes me from up to down and her stare pauses on the breakfast food in my hands.
"Great," she scoffs, "now she brings you food,"
Theo turns to me, his eyes widen.
I wish I could just disappear. Or at least apparate somewhere far.
"Stop it, Lea..." he sounds annoyed and still kind of sleepy.
"I'm sorry, who are you? Are you two together?" I decide to risk it and ask straight up.
She blinks a few times as if she didn't understand the question. As if it was obvious who she is. Which really isn't. Out of so many girls Theo had after me...
