Chapter 26
__________

Warm, pleasant heat of the morning sun rays fall on my left cheek. For a moment, I leave my eyes closed and try to enjoy the last bits of my sleep. I had a nice dream tonight - I was on a field with Draco and we ran hand in hand until our legs went sore and we couldn't catch a breath. We laid into the tall soft grass, kissed and made love. Lots of love.

With my eyes now opened, I roll on the other side of my bed to see if Pansy's awake, but her chest moving up to down and the blanked pulled all over her body to her ears tell me she's deep asleep, so I let her and get myself ready in the bathroom.

Though I got enough sleep, the bags under my eyes are still occupying their usual spot. I guess they still remain there from the long nights before this one. I've gotten used to them, kind of. They make face look more...real. Until they appeared, my skin seemed too much like a porcelain doll.

I should be happy. I no longer have to pretend to love Theo, but considering how things ended up yesterday, I don't feel like celebrating. I could get through Antony assaulting me, he was an old pedo and I should've known better.

But Theo? I can't stop thinking about the anger in his eyes as he held me against the wall. I knew he wouldn't hurt me, but I felt terrified.
I wash the memory away along with a splash of fresh water on my skin.

Tonight's the Halloween ball, and there's something I have to do before. I haven't told anyone my plan, not even Draco. Gods, he'd be furious.

I put on my black pleated skirt with a white comfortable shirt tucked into it and a pair of black flat shoes that make my legs look longer and slimmer. Because it's the end of October, I'm wearing black sheer tights.

End of October. Two months. I've known Draco for two months.

And I'll be knowing him for eight more. And then, hopefully, for forever.

I make my way to his office. The castle is totally empty, I guess everyone's staying in bed a little longer than usual because of the upcoming ball. We usually stay there long so we can watch the sunrise. Though I'm not sure how it's going to be today, given the fact that me and Theo are not exactly on speaking terms.

I make sure the door closes quietly after I enter his office, in case he's still sleeping. Which he is, as I notice once I make few steps forward it into the room. He's laying on the mattress, blanket covering only his bottom, his upper body is fully revealed. And naked. He must be so cold.

The first thing I need to do is walk over to the cabinet with potions. I try to be as quiet as possible. Waking him up would mean coming to a plan B, which I really wouldn't like to use. The cabinet opens with a little shrieking, my face tenses as I look at him.

Still sleeping, his chest goes up and down regularly. I can hear him breathing calmly.

With a relieve, I look for the "Get it all out" potion, as us students call it. It makes the person who drinks it want to get everything they ate in the past few hours out of their system. And not only through the mouth. It was banned from shops a few years ago by the ministry, because people, mostly girls, used it for losing weight to the point when it was too dangerous.

But one use won't hurt a fly. Hopefully.

I find the little glass flask with the colorless potion and put it into my bra. After I close the cabinet, I can't help it. I walk to his bed and kneel down by his head.

Just by looking at him, I feel so much joy, so much calmness in my heart, spreading to my whole body. I want to lay next to him and wrap my hands around his chest and lay there until I'm sick of it. But I can't.
