Part 42- Going home

You took cooper by the hand and you went to find Bruce, you knew that if cooper had broken his leg he shouldn't be waking on it but you didn't know what else to do
Bruce was in the quinjet's lab/ medical room, Tony and Bruce had been using it as their lab for the time being so it was the first place you went
"Hey Bruce, can I talk to you?" You asked carefully
"Hey y/n, hey cooper, what seems to be the problem?" He replied joyfully
You looked at cooper, he gave you a nod in confirmation "I was wondering if you would give cooper a once over, these boys gave him a pounding at school today, and you can probably guess the rest" you said
"Yea that's fine" he turned to cooper "if you could hop up on the bench for me"

-half an hour later-

"Well unfortunately, those boys have fractured your tibia" he said moving the portable X-ray machine towards you and cooper
"And that is...?" Cooper questioned
"It's the lower leg bone in your leg" you answered for him
Cooper looked on the verge of tears "my god" he said,
"It's ok buddy, you'll just be in a cast for a few weeks and then when you come to visit your dad in the tower next you'll get it off" Bruce explained with a comforting smile "but luckily everything else is fine just a bit of bruising it should clear in a week or two"
As Bruce said this there was a knock on lab door and Clint walked in "hi Bruce, have you seen-" he said "wait, wait, buddy what happened?" He asked concerned, because his X-ray was facing Clint and it was quite obvious what had happened
"Do you want to tell him or should I?" You asked cooper
"You tell him, I can't bring myself to say" he answered
"Ok, that's fine" you turned to Clint "before I say anything else, he's fine he is fine just a fracture in his leg, everything else is just bruising, do you want the long story or short story?" You asked Clint
"I just wanna know what happened to my child y/n!" He said almost yelling
"Ok,ok hold the attitude, it was at school and these boys gave him a pounding, they had been laughing at him for having superheroes for family and today it just got ten times worse" you explained as carefully as possible
"Oh buddy I'm sorry" he came over and hugged his son
"Thank you for telling me, I'll take it from here, they're having a meeting in the lounge about when we can go back to the tower" he explained
"Ok thanks Bird brain" you said laughing "good luck cooper" you said to the boy
"Thank you Aunty y/n" he said smiling, you smiled back at him and wheeled yourself towards the house

-in the lounge of the safe house-

"Uhh, Laura, Bruce wants to see you in the quinjet" you said as you wheeled in
"Oh is everything ok, and why aren't Clint and Bruce here?" Nat asked
"Yea, cooper got into a situation at school he's fine, by the way, but they might be a while" you explained
"Ok then" Tony started "I might as well say this now, but the tower is now fully safe to go back to so we will be leaving after dinner tonight" he said joyfully.
You all cheered a little and then left to go and pack

-in your temporary bedroom-

Papa and dad were just chatting whilst you were all packing and you were just sitting really quiet in your thoughts
"Hey doll, you're being very quiet, is everything ok?" Dad asked
"Yea just thinking" you responded
"What you thinking about?" Papa asked curious
"That separation anxiety is a bitch" you said bluntly
"Imma let that one slide" papa said
"What do you mean doll?" Dad asked
"I'm just nervous to sleep in my own bed again" you said sadly
"Oh sweetheart, we'll be just down the hall, you know that" papa comforted
"Yea I know, I'm just scared that I'll be taken again, and what if I have a nightmare and you don't hear me or-" you rambled
"Calm down doll, you're going to be fine, and you know that" dad said trying his best to comfort you, but it wasn't working at all.
"Well maybe I don't dad! And to be honest that's what you said last time and look where we ended up" you said gesturing to your wheelchair, instead of trying to fight you or comfort you they just came over and picked you up and hugged you like a baby, you just cried silently

-after dinner-

You went over to Lila and cooper and said your goodbyes
"Bye buddy, bye Lila" you said whilst hugging them both, from your wheelchair "I'll see you two in a few weeks, to get coopers cast off" you said to mainly to cooper
You gave Laura and Clint a hug and said goodbye, then you were off back to your home in the tower
