she came so early i wasn't ready at all, my hair was messy and i was shirtless.
i put avery on the couch and sit next to her.
jacob- what do you wanna eat princess?
avery- waffles! mommy makes the best waffles!
she says in a cute baby voice.
jacob- ok uuum let's make those waffles my little helper
avery- mommy doesn't let me help cause it's too dangerous
jacob- well mommy isn't here
i smile, she seemed nervous
jacob- i promise you won't get hurt! you are safe with daddy
i pick her up and attack her with kisses making her giggle.
-2 hours later-
it was messy but we made them.
we sit on the table and eat.
jacob- is it good?
avery- yes!!
i laugh and continue eating.
-30 minutes later-
we were watching TV and i decided to go to the pool but i remembered avery doesn't have a swimsuit with her soooo...
i'm having a daddy-daughter shopping trip.
i go inside the mall and go to random children stores.
i buy her clothes, toys and whatever i wanted for her.
we were walking around and then i see a familiar face.
avery- uncle evan!
she runs up to him and he picks her up and hug her
evan- hi there kiddo
he kisses her cheek
evan- i see you're back...
jacob- yeah...
evan- remembered you have a family and decided to come back?
jacob- don't do this in front or the kid bro.
evan- you're right...
he puts avery down and i hold her small hand.
he crouches down
evan- uncle has to go kiddo i promise i will visit
avery- you always say that
she pouts
evan- i will this time ok? oh- what is this?
he pulls a piece of candy from behind her ear making her gasp and giggle.
evan- well isn't that nice?
avery- thank you!
she let's go of me and hugs him.
the fact that he was there when avery was a baby and that he was most likely the father figure for her makes me jealous and mad at myself.
avery holds my hand again and evan stands up.
evan- leave y/n and avery again and i will make sure you'll never see them again
he whispers in my ear and then pats my shoulder and gives a sarcastic smile.
he leaves and i had my jaw clenched.

jacob- let's go princess
i pick her up and leave the mall.
