Chapter 35

Levi forced me to drive as he sat in the passenger seat and sang :

"I'm hurting, baby, I'm broken down. I need your loving, loving, I need it now. When I'm without you, I'm something weak. You got me begging, begging. I'm on my knees."

I couldn't look at him but I could hear him tapping on his legs.

"I don't wanna be needing your love, I just wanna be deep in your love. And it's killing me when you're away, ooh, baby, 'Cause I really don't care where you are. I just wanna be there where you are. And I gotta get one little taste."

Levi has the most perfect voice ever. I never realized just how talented he was until he continued.

"Your sugar. Yes, please. Won't you come and put it down on me? I'm right here, 'cause I need. Little love, a little sympathy. Yeah, you show me good loving. Make it alright. Need a little sweetness in my life. Your sugar. Yes, please. Won't you come and put it down on me?"

He hit every note. Both high and low. It was just amazing. I turned off the radio while he was singing and he didn't even notice. He was so lost in his own little world. When we was done, he looked over at me.

"When and why did you turn the radio off?"

"When? Towards the beginning of the song. Why? So I could hear you better. I love your voice so much."

Levi didn't reply. I think I saw him smile out of the corner of my eye. We sat the rest of the ride in almost complete silence.

Levi liked to make comments on my driving like, 'Slow down' 'You're going to fast.' 'That was a red light.'

He only did it to get on my nerves, we both know I'm an amazing driver. I told him to either sing or shut up. Sometimes he would sing his critical comments.

When I finally parked the car, I looked over at Levi.

"Do you e-"

Levi grabbed me by shirt and kissed me. "Yes, I do shut up sometimes, but I'd prefer to make you smile."

I quickly unbuckled and got out of the car, feeling terribly flustered.

I took a backpack out of the back seat and then locked up the car. I looked around, the parking lot was actually quite empty, we did get here about an hour before opening but I expected more.

"Levi? Do you want to know a secret?" I said as I held his hand and walked.

"Sure."

"I've only been to an amusement park once. My mom and dad took me when I was twelve."

"Did you have fun?"

"I remember almost every detail. Mom and dad were arguing on the way there, it was my birthday. We went on every ride I wanted but then my father forced me onto a Ferris Wheel by myself."

"Is that why you're scared of them?"

"Mhm." We sat down by the entrance of the park and waited for it to open. When it did about 100 other people were there. Levi and I got our tickets first and then walked through bag check and what not.

"We are here." I said smiling at Levi.

"Yes we are. Now let's get in line for a ride before they become two hour waits."

I allowed Levi to pick the ride. We waited in the line for about 15 minutes. He laughed at how nervous I was. From what I could tell the ride had about 3 drops and one of them goes underground and doesn't come up for a while. I'm going to pee myself.

"I have to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back." I tried to walk out of the line but Levi pulled me back.

"You can hold it."

The ride's cars held four people each and there was about 6 cars put together. Levi pushed me into the very front of the cars.

"I'm going to kill you."

"Oh shush. I've been here plenty of times, you'll be fine." Levi smiled as he pulled down a over-the-shoulder harness on himself. He couldn't look at me anymore so, he grabbed my leg and said, "Buckle up, newbie."
