April 26, 2015 - 1k votes *gasp emoji* Im back with another chappy. Anyone miss me? No? Okay ;-;
You raise your ring hand, your breath caught in your throat once again. 'Just staring at it takes my breath away.'
You immediately put your hand back down as Natsu walks in, half naked again. "Natsu! Shirt!" You sigh, closing the blinds.
"Is this why we can't have nice, sunlight breakfasts?" He mumbles as he walks back like a zombie. "So tired."
You stifle a laugh as you watch him face-plant on the bed, nearly landing on the sleeping Lucas.
"You've got that laugh. Do it again." Natsu sat up.
You give him a weird look. "What now?"
"Laugh again."
"Ha. Ha. Ha."
Natsu says nothing, but stumbles off in the direction of the bathroom.
"You're a weirdo." You mumble, hoisting yourself up, and preparing breakfast for him.
As you cracked an egg, Plume flew into the kitchen, her eyes wide. "Oh god, (Y/N)'s touching the oven!" She tugged your sleeve as hard as she could.
"Don't do it, don't burn us and the apartment down!" She cried, stopping your hand from turning on the oven.
"I hate you." You mumble, shooing her away with your hand. "I can cook as much as the next person in here!" You pointedly argue.
"Natsu can't cook." Plume pointed out.
"Go away," you fake a sniffle as you turn on the oven.
"See, I'm doing it perfectly!" You say, as you watch the egg bubble.
"Eggs aren't supposed to be bubbling."
You handed her the spatula without another word, and sat back down, with your warm drink in your hand.
"At least I can make drinkable things." You muttered, happily.
"I can make better coffee."
"...shut up, Plume."
You watch Natsu walk into the kitchen with newfound aura of awareness. "Hello, wonderful cats and lovely lady." He greeted.
You lean back in your chair, looking into the living room where Happy lay, snoring loudly.
"Exceed." Plume corrected, still attending the egg.
Natsu said nothing, but his mouth watered when Plume set down the plate of eggs that you cracked, along with another plate full of pancakes.
"Pancakes..." Your mouth twitches, as you grab the utensils. But you stopped in your tracks when you watch Natsu shove a whole pancake in his mouth.
"Some people never change." You sigh, watching him gobble the pancakes down.
Plume calmly flew off, as if the Salamander wasn't stuffing his face with pancakes - and using his hands.
"Why can't we have breakfast like normal people?" You sigh, joining Natsu and his pancake eating.
___
Your eyes open from your late afternoon nap. 'There's something strange in the way I'm feeling.'
You sigh, facing the other side of the bed where Natsu lay, snoring in his usual strange pose.
You heard something crinkle in your pocket as you sit up. 'What?' Your hand flies into your pocket, drawing out a sheet of paper.
I'll always be there in spirit
Rila
You crumple the sheet of paper. 'Is it time already, Rila..?' You feel your chest tightening.
You were about to throw the paper in the trash, but you noticed something on the other side.
Thanks for the memories - take care
She had scrawled in her messy handwriting. You flop back down on the bed, your arm slung over your eyes. You let out a soft cry.
'Rila's gone?'
Your hand traveled to your thigh, checking for the bind. You let out a choked cry when you feel nothing there. No bind. Nothing. As if Rila never existed.
'You really live up to your name, Rila. You liar, you promised we would be together forever.'
'It's because you always lie that your name is Rila, isn't it? After all- Rila is just liar, scrambled up.'
You let out another small cry, as you curled into a ball, realizing the fact you lost another precious person.
After crying your eyes out, your tears finally seemed to stop. You glanced over at the still-sleeping Natsu. 'I'm lucky he's a heavy sleeper.'
You roll over to where Natsu slept, curling next to him, your head pressed against his chest.
You looked at his sleeping face. 'I don't know if he looks scary or cute.' You muse, toying with his soft hair.
In a playful mood, you start kissing his cheek, trailing down to his chin. You pecked his lips, then did it again - longer, this time.
You kissed him over and over. After all, he wouldn't know. He was asleep.
With a mischievous look in your eyes, you tiptoe into the bathroom, and applied some lipstick.
You kissed Natsu's cheek, leaving a perfect print. 'He doesn't look in the mirror much, anyway.'
Wiping off the lipstick, you poke Natsu's cheek. 'Wake up, already. I'm bored.' You kiss his dry lips again.
Keeping up the kisses, you kept kissing him until he finally woke up. "Hey." He muttered sleepily, giving you a long kiss.
"Bleh, your breath." You laugh, giving him a peck. You yawn and stretch, climbing out of the bed. "Took you long enough." You grin back at him.
"No, dammit, come back! You can't just stop there!"
You roll your eyes at his childish behavior. You stumble into the kitchen, the bright light blinding you.
"When I get older, I will be stronger. They'll call me freedom, just like a wavin' flag..." Your lips moved in a smooth motion as you half- whispered, half-sang.
Your eyes travel to the counter, where a plate of oranges sat.
"Thanks, Plume." You softly say, peeking into the dark living room where Plume was sleeping.
"Welcome."
Or...supposedly sleeping.
She flew up into the lighted kitchen, her kimono crinkled. "Rila left?" She asked after a glance.
"That obvious?" You ask with a small laugh, as you take an orange slice, biting into it.
"You look like you lost another part of yourself."
You gave her a look.
"Too soon?" She asked, giving you the best hug she could do.
You twist the ring on your finger, after she let go, glancing back at the bedroom, where Natsu was still demanding you.
"Oh god please don't." Plume gave you a disgusted face. You shot a look her way.
"HURRY, ALMOST MRS. DRAGNEEL." Natsu yelled.
"Where am I going?" You ask back, laughing.
"Bedroom. Date. Somewhere. As long as we're together."
