You wake up with a start, sweat beading on your neck. Murmuring softly, you wipe your forehead with the back of your hand.
Your nightmares had been getting worse, everyday. You had told Natsu, who appeared to question your sanity just a bit.
Everything seemed so new. It seemed just yesterday when you first walked into the hall of Fairy Tail.
"I must be getting old.." You mutter, raking your hand through your hair.
Even though it was only nine months before.
'Ah. Right.'
Reality hit you when you realized there were only three months left. Three months to tell this thickheaded man.
A bad taste in your mouth, you reluctantly got out of bed. Changing into your cold clothing, you quickly showered and head into the kitchen for some breakfast.
You glance at the sleeping cats, as you begin to make breakfast. Humming to yourself softly, you quickly scramble the eggs.
You finished cooking and setting the table just as Natsu had walked in, still half asleep. His eyes widened when he saw the plates of food. He cried, "Woo-hoo!", awakening the Exceeds.
"Natsu. It's so early!" Happy grumbled as he heaved himself up, rubbing his eyes with his paws.
"Yeah, what's up with all the noise?" Plume added, her arms crossed.
You grin, holding a plate of steaming pancakes. "Better hurry if you wanna eat. Natsu's almost done brushing his teeth."
In a panic, Plume and Happy both rushed into the bathroom.
Laughing softly to yourself, you settle down in a chair, and began eating.
"Don't eat without me!"
A voice protested, making you pause with the fork still halfway to your mouth.
Setting down the fork, you look up at Natsu. "Want pancakes?" You watched him nod mutely and plop down in a kitchen chair, as you start to eat.
"Natsu's eating all the food!!" Happy screeched to Plume, who immediately flew in.
"(Y/N)!" She demanded when you started laughing at their shocked faces. You point to the counter. "I left you some."
Breakfast went by fast and wild. Natsu's eating habits weren't getting any better, nor were Happy's.
Every morning was carefree; enrapturing everyone.

The double doors creaked as you walked inside, Natsu following with a lethargic atmosphere behind him.
"Finally, Fairy Tail's couple arrives." Mirajane grins.
"That's so manly!" Her brother agrees, nodding enthusiastically. "Oh yes, so very manly." A sarcastic voice said.
Flustered, you turned around to shoot a a look of confusion, proving your innocence. He seemed equally confused, but didn't pay much attention.
"Hey."
You spin around. "Gray!" Your face erupts into a smile. Then you narrow your eyes.
"What is Mirajane saying now?" You demand, a hand on your hip as you tilted your head. Gray only shrugs. "Who knows. She's always been like that."
"Gray-sama!"
And Gray turned back around.
You turn back to Natsu, who was currently being mobbed by his teammates, currently bombarding the poor one with questions and statements.
"Hey, congratulations!" Wendy smiled small, her face lighting up as she left Natsu's side with a happy hop in her walk.
"Thanks. I'm not getting married or anything, thoug-"
"Sorry, we get over-excited about these things." Levy passed by, offering her consolation for a split moment; blue flashing from the corner of your eye.
"It's rare for someone to make it public and known, though." Erza contradicted Levy with a closed smile as she walked; casual clothing making her look foreign.
"Yeah no kidding. You really went all out." You giggle softly, admiring the now colorful hall.
"Thank you!" Lucy comes out from behind Erza, and tilts her head slightly. "Everyone put in their best effort..." She trailed on, proudly.
You wanted to shout in her face. "Natsu chose me!!" But you didn't. You'd have to hold back this time.
Instead you nod slightly. "I should be the one thanking you guys. How did you guys find out?"
Erza nodded her head at the direction behind her. "Who didn't he tell?"
Your mouth came slightly open. "Natsu?"
"Seriously though, who didn't he tell?" Lucy snorted. Her smile was kind, and her eyes were twinkling with humor.
At first glance, she could have been thought to actually harbor feelings for the Salamander. Then again, looks are deceiving.
In the midst of all the laughter and loud chatter, no one missed you as you slipped away outside.
Outside, the sun was shining brightly onto the patches of soft grass growing back after the mages frequent steps wearing it out.
"(Y/N)?"
Turning around, you first saw the stain of pink; his hair sticking wildly in all directions as if he had just blown himself up.
"What are you doing?" He asked curiously, before taking a seat next to you; glancing upwards at the sunny skies.
"Enjoying the quietness."
"Does that mean I should leave?" He asked, getting up. A hand stopped him; surprising yourself. "Uh, it's fine. You can stay."
A few moments passed in the bright afternoon. Natsu did not speak one word as he sat there, just rocking back and forth.
"Isn't this boring?" He asked, and you cracked open an eye. "Probably because you never do this," you offered.
"Okay, I did what you wanted to do. Now you should do what I want to do."
"What? But I didn't really force you to do thi-"
"We should get up and move around, since you seem really tired now." Natsu spoke, excitedly. "No, let's not," you groaned quietly.
"How about a dance?"
"There's no music."
"So? You don't need music to dance."
"People are going to stare."
He nodded, "but that's what dancing is all about."
Natsu awkwardly took your hands, stepping around gingerly, his facial expressions of pure concentration irking little spurts of laughs out from you.
And that's how you spent your entire afternoon under the hotter sun, moving around, laughing and playing around with the one who was full of humor.
