Future Days

LONG A/N BEFORE WE START (feel free to ignore! just me ranting abt video games-):

i havent written inn
god knows how long but its 2 am, i just won the 50/50 and pulled yelan in genshin, and im in a random mood where i wanna write

i've been swarmed with work, specifically art, having commissions piled up, as well as other drawings, for example, i havent drawn anything for pride month and i still have yet to finish the funk! miss tamara drawing i promised people on instagram id work on
but i literally cant draw im burnt out with a sketch for a commission so i turn to dust off an old creative outlet: writing

if you had been following my insta story this recent year, you might have probably seen a lot of stuff about a treasured game series, the last of us. i had NEVER known of this game before, until my brother gave me his ps4 and was blown away when i said i've never heard of it. he then got me to play tlou1, and even though he helped me... A LOT, i finished the game! i. absolutely. loved it. survival horror has NEVER been my thing mainly because im BAD at those games, especially when it has shooting involved. but i fell in love with this game, so, given, i immediately run off to play tlou2 (after playing the first game's DLC, left behind) and GOD was i obsessed, still am, TLOU is by far one of the best games ive played in my entire life, the image above is my wallpaper too :)

-but i think the reason im so fucking touched by this world is the characters. ik this is really out of place for a TORDTOM ONESHOTS BOOK... but joel and ellie's relationship (specifically when ellie's younger) sits in an important place in my heart, because it reminds me so so much of how my dad and i were before he passed away- this game reminded me about some empty spaces in my childhood memories... minus the zombie apocolypse-

and one of my favorite parts of TLOU2 is the soundtrack, my favorite parts are ellie's take on me and joel's future days by pearl jam. i learned the song on my guitar even-

.... so in short, this is a crossover with TLOU's character bonds and eddsworld, but there'll be NO zombies-

and for some reason, if you're 2 years late on the second game and 9 years late to the first and DONT want spoilers for the TLOU2... pls don't read this LOL-

i havent met a single person on wattpad who's also played TLOU- unless you watched jacksepticeye or pewds play it back in 2021, which if you have, ur a chad

"Heh, feel that breeze, huh? I tell you, on a day like this, I'd just sit on my porch, pick away at my six string." The man pushed up his glasses, a relaxed smile on his face as he took a deep breath, looking back at his son, who was following after him, in his own head. "Yeah, once we're done with this whole thing, I'm gonna teach you how to play guitar. Yeah, I reckon you'd really like that. Whaddya say, huh?"

A moment of silence before he turned to look at him again, brow raised, "Thomas, I'm talking to you-"

The tween gripped on his backpack straps, breaking out his daze, "huh? Oh! Yeah, sure, that sounds great." He gave a little nod, relaxing his father once more.

"Alright, now let's keep movin' huh? Sun's dying!"

Tom quietly sketched in his journal as he listened to music on his earbuds. Completely lost in music and his passion of art, he didn't hear his room's door creak open, or the "hellooo?" that followed.
