Rose POV

My dad picks up on the third ring.

"Hello?" I hear him yawn in the background. I look at what time it is, it's 2 in the morning.

"Sorry dad."

"Hello Rose. How the mission?"  I sigh.

"Were coming back dad. They don't want or need us."

"Rose that doesn't seem right. You said they were in trouble, what changed?"

"Me and Dimitri fought and nobody wants us here anymore. I called to see if you would send the jet for us. Could you?"

"Rose there you friends, you can't let them be killed or worse. I think you should reconsider."

"Send the jet. I need to go on a run. I'll think about reconsidering. Goodbye dad."

"Goodbye Rose. I love you." He know that I don't waste time talking with people on the phone.

"Love you to." Then we hang up.

I put on my running clothes and leave. I don't care if anyone saw me. I need my space. Once I start running I calm down. I secretly think to myself, I hope Sasha comes and sees me. I run to a near by lake and sit down. I cry. I really wanted to help them.

"Why so sad?"  I turn around and smile by who I see.

Sasha

He walks over and sits by me and puts an arm around me. I sink into him. I know I shouldn't be with him, but he makes me happy.

"I had troubles with my friends."  I say quietly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I look up at him.

"Are you saying that as a friend or enemy?"

"At this moment, friend. It makes me sad that your sad." He puts on a cute face.

"Its mainly Dimitri. We had a bad fight, I couldn't control myself."

"Is Dimitri a boyfriend?"  I almost laugh.

"He's my ex. He's the reason I left court."

"I'm so sorry. What are you going to do?"

"I'm leaving tomorrow." He looks sad.

"What happened to saving your friends?"

"I thought it would be the right thing to do, but they don't want me. Nobody wants me."

I cry into his shoulder.

"Please don't cry. I came here to make you better "  He says that happily. I stop crying.

"What are you going to do?"

He stands up and holds out his hand.

"Lets go for a walk. Shall we?"

At first I have second thoughts, but then I grab his hand anyway. I felt like I could do anything with him. He takes into a trail and we start walking.

"So, do you want to play a game?" He asks smiling.

"Sure. What game?"

"Lets just ask questions about each other. I'll start. What's your favorite color?" I can't believe he actually wants to play. Then I answer.

"Red. What's yours?"

"Blue. Do you have any family?"  I wonder why he wants to know.

"Yes, I have a dad and mom and I've met them both. Do you have any family?"

"Yes, but we don't talk to each other that much. What do you like to do the most?"

I think about that for a little bit. Running or killing?

"Running, it relieves stress for me. What about you?"

He smiles.

"I love hiking. I love nature in general."

He seems so relaxed and calm. I realize that I'm relaxed and calm as well. How did he do this to me?

We stop and stare at each other for a while. I look down and realize we've been holding hand for the whole time. Sasha made all of my problems go away. He takes his hand and gently lifts up my head to look into his eyes.

"I have one more question."  He says and doesn't take his eyes off me.

"And what is it?"   I asked mysterious.

"Do you have feelings for me?"  Holy shit! Before I could think the word rolls out of my mouth.

"Yes."

The our lips collide. We pour our hearts out. He puts my legs around his waist and pushes me up against a tree. How did he have this affect on me? His whole body is up against me. I could feel his muscles through his clothes. He bites my lower lip and I gasp. With my mouth open he puts his tounge in it. He is so good. Then we pull apart, breathless. I'm still in his arms and I melt into his embrace. I want to stay here.

Then he brakes the silence.

"That was amazing."

"My thoughts exactly."  We both smirk at each other.

"As sad as it is, you need to go back. You don't want your friends even more mad at you."

"I don't want to go."  I mumble with my face in his neck.

"Do you want me to carry you? I could take you closer to your site."

"Sure." Then he starts carrying me bridal style. I giggle. I've never felt this way before. I look up at his handsome face. He looks down at me and smiles.

"I don't know what your doing to me Rose, but I love it. I love you."

He looks a little worried when he say those three last words. Now it's my turn. Then I reply.

"I don't know what you've done to me, but you make me feel happy. I love you."

I can't believe we both said it. I have fallen for the enemy and there's no going back now. He smiles brightly back at me. He give be a quick kiss on the lips.

"I'm the world's most luckiest man. I wasn't sure if you world say it back."

He spins me around in his arms. After a little bit, the campsite came into view. Time to go back to hell.

"I'll miss you. When can we see each other again?" He asks looking into my eyes. His gorgeous eyes.

"I have no idea. If anyone saw us together, it would be a nightmare."  I say sadly.

"I wish it could be easier. I hope to see you again. But I know that we will. I will always find the woman I love."

He leans down and gives me a quick passionate kiss. The things this man does to me.

"I'll miss you. Goodbye, Sasha."

"Goodbye, Rose."  Then we head different ways.

Then I realise, there have been no strigoi attacks lately. Is Sasha holding them back? Are they planning something?

I head back to my tent smiling. These people chose not to have me. I came here to protect them from danger. They'll just need to protect themselves. Once I reach my tent, I open the door as quietly as possible.

Then I see a note. Again. I'm not even surprised. Then I pick it up and read it.

Rose don't leave yet. Give us a little more time. I hear that you have been seeing Sasha. I hope you cooperate with us, so nothing bad happens to him. -Galina

Great just great. I don't want anything to happen to him. I decide to listen to the note. Love makes you do crazy things. Then I fall asleep, thinking about Sasha.

For the first time in five years, I fall asleep happily.
