Chapter 38

Rose POV

3 Days Later

Me and Edward walk hand in hand towards the court room.

Today is the day. The day Lissa's rule will come to an end. The day we've all been waiting for.

I have turned into such a cold hearted person. But when I'm with Ed, I forget everything. When we enter the room, everything goes silent.

I see Lissa in handcuffs, in front of everyone.

She looks terrified.

I look at the council and they all have stern faces.

"I would like to speak to her, before we begin."

"For only a little while."

We walk alone towards a quite room. Once were alone, she starts to cry.

"I'm so sorry, Rose. I don't even know what I was thinking. Please forgive me!"

The tears are running down her face. But I feel nothing.

"If you think that crying is going to save you, you're wrong. It's my time to ask questions."

"Ask me anything."

"Why did you compel Dimitri into loving you?"

"I've always had a crush on him and I felt alone. Christian was gone. Everyone I loved was gone."

"Why do you hate me?"

"Because you sided with the enemy."

"You're the one who made me do this. You were going to take away my memories. What do you think would happen?"

"I thought I was doing the right thing. I thought you could be the ultimate weapon. If you forgot all of the pain in your heart."

The ultimate weapon.

Then there's a knock on the door.

"Times up."

"One second."

I look straight into Lissa's eyes and give her a death glare.

"I hope you have fun burning in hell. Bitch."

Then we leave the room. I have never regretted anything I've said to her. She doesn't mean anything to me. Edward is my future.

I've seen people die before. I've gotten use to the sight of blood. This one will be no different. Me and Ed are in the front, were all of the leaders are. I can't believe it's finalizing happening.

Then her body falls to the ground. Her head five feet away. He arms twisted in an unnatural way. I see blood everywhere.

Then I throw up.

I feel someone's hand wrap around my waist immediately. Edward.

"Is something wrong sweetheart?"

"I don't know."

"Let's go to the doctor."

We leave the room and I feel a pain in my stomach. I begin to fall to the ground, when he picks me up bridal style and run to the doctor. He sets me down on the bed and run to get a doctor. A minute later they come in.

"Rose we would like to run some tests, to see if there's something wrong with you."

Edward leaves the room.

"Ok."

"First. Have you felt any pain like this before?"

"No."

"Have you been sexually active in the past couple weeks?"

"Yes."

"Rose, I would like you to take a pregnancy test. Go to the bathroom."

He hands me a box and I go. Oh Shit. Dammit. I thought it was just the blood.

After I do the test, I show it to the doctor.

"Congratulations, Rose. You're pregnant."

Shit. Shit. Shit.

How am I going to tell Edward?
