Chapter 28

Rose POV

"What is it that you want dear?"

"Why am I here?"

I look around and this place looks like it's her office. She motions me to come over and sit in the seat across from her. As I sit down, she opens her mouth and speaks.

"We brought you here to become the ultimate solider. There are other enemies out there and we want you on our side."

That makes perfect sense. Why else would I be here? She looks me in the eyes and her face softens.

"What is it that you want answered?"

She looks at me caringly. Here goes nothing.

"Are you guys going to change me into a strigoi?"

"The plan was for you to fall in love with one of us, then that person would change you. When my son met you, he knew that you were the one for him. I told him I would change him, then he could change you. But when I read your mind, it seems that you have feelings for two or more people. Tell me, do you love my son?"

Shit!

She's talking about Alexander. Mr.Sadovsky. And Sasha.

I look at her and realize that she just read my mind. Dammit!

"It's ok dear. I won't hurt any of them. Now tell me, who do you love? Or who do you think you could have a future with? I just want you to know that I support any of your desicions, I want you to see me as a mother figure for you."

I smile at that thought. My mother never did care for me. I finally decide to speak.

"I have a quick question to ask you. What is Mr.Sadovsky's first name?"

"It's Edward. He's the captain of our army. I heard that you beat him in a fight. Good job!"

"I love Sasha, he always puts a smile on my face and it seems like he really cares about me. Alex seems to be so nice. He looks like understands and would do anything to help me. Edward seems like he's the most similar to me. We could both be leaders of your army, I think that would be fun and he's seems to have a great sense of humor."

Galina looks like she's processing all of the information. She takes a deep breath and speaks.

"I agree with all or your information. But as sad as it is, you need to choose soon. I'm controlling my people for now, but it's getting harder for them. I just want you to be happy and I hope you can be happy as a strigoi."

Could I truly be happy as a strigoi? Could I become a dead person and kill the people I was born to protect?

"Thanks Galina."

"Anytime."

I stand up and walk to the door and leave. Who could I be happy with?

I never wanted to be in this position. But now I have to decide which one of them should I spend eternity with.

I decide to go on a run, with hopes of trying to clear my head.
