Chapter 14

Rose POV

I wake up with a throbbing headache. Where the hell am I? I look around and only see pitch black darkness. I get up and look around. Once I get up, motion cencered light go on.

Shit.

I recognized instantly where I was.

Court.

I'm in the prision holding cell. They really don't trust me. Then I remember what happened to me.

I remember being shot with something. Dimitri. How could my team let this happen? Probably that bitch using compulsion. Then the door creeks open. Someone unexpected come in.

My mother.

"Hello mother." I smile evily at her.

"Hello Rose."  She looks pissed. Then she speaks.

"I spoke with your father."  I smile at her.

"Really, I hope you had a good conversation!" I yell sarcastically at her.

"Rose! We were looking for you! I would've at least liked to know you were okay!" 

"I didn't want to be found! Why couldn't you let me stay away! My life is not meant to be here, I can't stay here!"

"We won't let you leave again."  God Dammit!

"I bet Lissa did this! That bitch! Once I get out of here, I'm going after her!"

She laughs

"With that attitude you won't get anywhere near Lissa. I will keep you here unroll you calm down!"

Then she storms out. What a great mother. I look around the room and see almost nothing.

A bed, chair, and a door. They expect me to live in this. I sit down on the bed and stare at the wall.

"What am I going to do?"  I find myself asking out loud.

Calm down then you can come out of the cell

Lissa was listening the whole time!

Hello bitch. Let me leave and there'll be no trouble.

I can't let that happen.

Well at least let me go on a run. It calms me down. You can posts guards all around then grounds.

Promise you won't do anything.

Then the door opens a minute later. Two guardians come in and then Dimitri.

If you can control yourself, people will trust you again.

Lissa sends that to me, before I'm about to lose it. I clench my hands until they turn white. The guards notice and go into a fighting pose.

"Lets go."  I say calmly. I head to the door and they hold my arms as we walk away. We walk down a hall way and to an elevator. Dimitri presses the open button and it opens straight away. We all get and he presses the main floor button.

"They think it takes three men to holds off. That's an insult to me." I say calmly.

Then Dimitri speaks.

"We could take you. These are the best guardian in the whole system. Including myself."

"Someone's full of it." I scoff. He's showing off. I look at the men. They look tough, muscular, and good looking. Then the elevators open, we step out and head toward the exit.

Fresh air!

"Lets get going!" I yell smiling. Dimitri walked over to me, the other men left.

"Lets go."  He says smiling.

"Is this about controlling my anger?"  I'm pissed. They don't trust me at all!

"Yes."

Then I run. He run a little behind me.

"Rose I want to talk. Please, just listen." Before I answer he starts talking.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking the day you left. I wanted to be with you, but I felt like I didn't deserve you."

"It was probably for the best. Leaving everything behind, made my life perfect. Everything fell into place."

I say emotionless.

"Please give us a second chance. You were the best guardian, top in your classes! You're life could've been great here!"

"Not with you here!" I stop in my tracks.

"Dimitri you wrecked my life! I could never be near you again, without wanting.to kill you. You took all my love out and replaced it with hate!"

He looks like he's about to cry.

"I never wanted that to happen! I wanted to life a full life with you!"

Then he pulls me into a kiss. I pull back instantly.

"Don't touch me! You basterd!"

Then I speed off, I hear him behind me. I pushed even harder, after a couple minutes I don't hear anything.

I ran into the forest and was at an edge of a pond. I start.to cry. Then my thoughts drift to Sasha.

I miss him so much. He calms me. I start to walk around the pond. Then I see a box on the ground. I run to it as quick as possible. Once I'm there I go onto my knees and rip open the box. Another note!

I miss you so much. I never thought they would take you away. You will still have to make a choice later. I will see you again. Please don't forget me, I'll never forget you. I love you.     -Sasha

I smile to myself. With only his small note, I was calm once again. I'll never forget you Sasha. I don't care if he's the bad guy, I will be with him again. I need to head back to court.

I'll see him soon. Then I run back to court.
