Chapter 29

Rose POV

After my run, I head towards the gym and go right to the punching bags. I guess this is a good enough substitute for the real face I would like to punch. Dimitri. I can't believe he escaped with Lissa. That evil bitch, they call queen. I punch the bag harder and I feel my hands burning. I finally.stop and take a breather. But before I leave, I do a roundhouse kick to the head area of the bag.

"You bitch!"

I scream without thinking. Shit! People were already watching me and now they're all watching. I was thinking about how much pain I could cause to Lissa. She deserves to feel pain. For all the pain she's been causing me.

"Well Rose, I know you fight good but you could take it easy on my equipment!"

I turn to see a smiling Edward.

"I'm sorry. I guess I got caught in the moment."

"I could tell. Do you want to workout together?"

I simply nod and we head over to the weights.

"How long have you been a strigoi? Sorry if that's to personal."

"I've been a strigoi for fifteen years. But I'm stuck at the age of twenty-five."

"Does becoming a strigoi hurt?"

He looks at me sadly, knowing that I'll be changed soon. I won't be a dhampir for much longer.

"It hurts at first. But after a little bit, it gets easier. I'm sure you'll be able to deal with the pain."

"Thanks for the reasurrence Ed."

"Anytime."

"Do you regret being a strigoi?"

"I was changed forcefully. I don't regret anything. If I wasn't a strigoi, I would've never met you."

We go do some pullups and pushups, then we head over to the treadmills.

"Why are you being so nice to me? I ruined your winning streak."

"Whoever could beat me, deserved it. You could say, I got distracted."

We both laugh at the memory of my cleavage in his face. I slightly blush.

"Let's go fight again!"

"Ok."

We both go into the ring and battle number two begins.

We start throwing punches at eachother. Some make contact, some don't. He tries to kick me, but I dodge it. I try to kick him, but he grabs my leg in midair and pulls me to the ground.

"Fuck! That really hurt!"

"Are you ok?"

He bends down and I kick him in the privates. He groans and falls onto his knees, holding onto it. I start to laugh and he pins me down to the ground. He puts my hands above my head and we're both breathing heavily.

His entire body is on top of me and he leans in a kisses me. I quickly kiss back, still in shock. He takes me by surprised and we pull back.

I feel someone starring daggers into me. I look and see a man looking at me furiously.

Sasha

He quickly storms out of the room. I push Edward off of me and I hurry off to catch up to Sasha.

Shit! What's going to happen?
