~3rd Person POV~
"Eren will be... eaten?" Armin exclaimed.
After Hange and Levi had taken Sannes and his associate Ralph back to their shared prison cell, they'd returned upstairs to brief everyone.
"Yes," Hange confirmed, "Eren remembered a conversation between Berthodlt and Ymir. They were talking about how Ymir used to be a pure Titan before she ate one of their comrades."
"Wait," Armin interrupted, "this sounds kind of familiar."
"Yes, Armin. Remember when Amelia told us that she witnessed one of their comrades being eaten, it was them they were referring to," Hange confirmed.
"So, that means that she was telling the truth," Armin commented, receiving a glare from Levi. "Not that I doubted her!" he put up his hands in defeat.
"Moving on," Hange changed the subject, "essentially when a Titan eats someone, they don't change back into a human. But if a Titan eats someone with Titan-shifting abilities, I hypothesise that these abilities are passed on. Eren has the power to control Titans with his scream and the reason why Reiner and his comrades kidnapped him was for those abilities. Eren is replaceable to them. So, it's likely that the government have a Titan that they want to eat Eren and pass on his abilities to them."
Mikasa slammed down on the table, rising from her seat and heading for the door. Levi went over to her, grabbing her shoulder to prevent her from leaving. "Calm down. Even if you go on a rampage, they're not just going to give Eren back to us. We need to come up with a plan and head to Rod Reiss' land immediately. Everyone get ready to leave at once," Levi ordered.
There was a time limit on Eren's life. They desperately needed to get there and save him as quickly as possible. For everyone's sake.

~Amelia's POV~
I shut my eyes immediately after I was done surveying the room. I needed the strange man to think that I was still unconscious whilst I hatched my plan. First, let's listen to what he's saying to Historia.
The man pulled away from their embrace. "Please forgive me for everything. To protect you, I had no choice." I had no idea what he was referring to but I kept listening.
"F-father," Historia stuttered out. What the hell? Historia's dad was the one who'd kidnapped us? Why on earth would he do that?
"I was always thinking about you. I've always dreamed of the day that we could be reunited like this." Well, I for one, have to disagree. "You're special, Historia. The royal blood runs through your veins."
So, that was the reason that she had been targeted. The Reiss family is the true royal bloodline, making the current King a fraud. No wonder Pastor Nick had been so hard to crack. If Historia's true identity was revealed, the whole government would be revealed as a sham. There will be a power struggle, possibly even a war. I can't say I'm on the side of the sham government, but I can understand why they were trying so hard to keep everything intact.
"Really?" Historia cried out, tears flowing uncontrollably from her eyes.
"That's right, Historia. Our bloodline is the true royal family," her Father confirmed for me. "And because you're special, you're the only one who can save all of humanity."
Huh? How exactly was that going to happen?
"Now, let us go, Historia," her Father grabbed her hand, helping her to her feet.
Dammit, I wanted to hear how exactly this man thinks that Historia can save humanity. I didn't doubt her ability to do so just the integrity of a man who threw away his child instead of doing everything in his power to save her. No matter what the repercussions were.
