It was finally August 6th and that meant that today was Kalen's last game. Christian offered to pick me up from my apartment so we could go to the game today. Work today had been extremely tiring because it was the first day of teaching the kids my new choreography and I was tired, but I promised Kalen I would be there and I was not going to let him down.
I got home at around 3 o'clock and the game was supposed to start at 4 o'clock. I quickly went to bathroom and took a shower before changing into my clothes at the game. My outfit consisted of a white long sleeved shirt that I tucked into my tight black jeans, black boots, and the red jersey that Kalen had given me. I put my hair in a high ponytail and didn't bother doing my makeup.
About 10 more minutes passed before I heard someone knock on the door. I walked over and opened it to see Christian standing there.
"Hi Sunshine." Christian said as he gave me a hug. "You look beautiful as always."
"Thank you, Mr. Baseball." I chuckled when I said his nickname and blushed. "You look really handsome as well, but when do you not?"
"Well I have to look my best if I'm going to be standing next to you." He smiled at me and I blushed. "You ready to go?"
I nodded and went to grab my purse that was on the couch. "Yup, lets go."

We had made it to the field just as the game was about to start. We took a seat in the bleachers near first base and watched as the two teams hit the field.
"What number is Kalen?" Christian asked me.
"Number 8." I responded as I looked out on the field to see Kalen standing in the shortstop position. "Ooo, he's playing shortstop."
"So he's defensively skilled, that's really good." Christian said as he smiled at me.
I nodded at him and then turned, remembering that I had something to tell him. "I forgot that I had to tell you something."
"What do you have to tell me?" He asked, looking at me.
"Well, a couple days ago my boss told me that I'll be choreographing one of the team's competition dances." I told him.
Christian smiled at me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders, bringing me into a hug. "That's amazing! I'm so proud of you." I smiled at him and nodded.
"Thank you." I smiled at him. "I'm really excited. I started teaching them the choreography today."
"That's great!" He said and we smiled at each other before turning our heads to the field.
We both watched the game and cheered when Kalen got the ball, throwing it to second base and then the second basemen throwing the ball to first base to make a double play. Everyone on the stands stood up and cheered while the boys ran off to the field to get ready to bat.

The game was now over and it was almost 7 o'clock at night. Kalen's team had won 5-2 and Kalen made some great plays. He was up to bat 3 times the whole night and made good plays all three of them. His first at bat resulted in a ground rule double, his second at bat resulted in RBI single, and his last at bat resulted in a solo home run. His defensive plays were also really good but his offensive plays were definitely better today.
Christian and I were waiting in the parking for the boys to come out. As the boys walked out, we saw Kalen start walking towards us after saying bye to his teammates.
Kalen reached us and smiled at us. "Wassup guys." He said as he gave me a hug and looked at Christian. "Hey Christian, I'm glad you can make it"
"Wouldn't miss it." Christian responded as they both shook hands. "You looked like a professional out there, good job."
