For the whole day, I have been lying in bed, feeling sick and crying my eyes out about the cheating scandal on Instagram. Kalen told me that Christian has been trying to reach out and also read the post he made on his Instagram story, claiming he did not cheat on me. I want to believe it, and maybe it is the fact that my hormones are all over the place, but I just cannot bring myself to answer his phone calls and hear him out.

He was supposed to be arriving at the house soon since they were flying back today for their home game and I was ready to face him. I saw all the messages he had sent me while I was avoiding him and felt a little bit bad. I also noticed that his mom, some of his teammate's wives, and his brothers had also texted me but I did not answer any of them. I wanted to hear what Christian had to say first before texting any of them back.

It was around five o'clock in the morning when I woke up and noticed that Christian had yet to arrive home. I stood up from my bed and walked to the bathroom. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed the dried tear stains on my face and I sighed. I really hope that he did not cheat on me because I will feel so much worse.

I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth and hair before changing into a pair of leggings and an oversized T-shirt.

Making my way downstairs, I thought about what to make Kalen for breakfast. He has recently been wanting avocado toast so I decided that I would make that for him. For lunch, I made him a fruit salad with a Gatorade to drink and I also prepared his water for practice.

While I was making breakfast, I heard the front door open and my heart dropped to my stomach. I knew that it was Christian and it was finally time to face him and hear what he needed to say.

I heard footsteps make their way to the kitchen and I saw Christian appear at the entrance of the kitchen. He looked at me with tired eyes and he made a small sigh while I looked at him with a straight face.

As he was about to say something, Kalen walked into the kitchen and glared at him. "Look who made it back home." He scoffed as he walked over to me and placed a small kiss on my head. "My teammate came to pick me up so I'll just eat the avocado toast on the way. Thank you, I love you." He said to me as he grabbed the avocado toast and his lunch bag.

"Okay, be safe. I love you too." I said back to him and watched as he walked out. Kalen made sure to glare at Christian once more before officially leaving the house.

Christian ran his hand up and down his face in frustration before he spoke. "Sunshine, please listen to me." He said desperately.

"I'm listening." I stated, leaning against the island.

"It is all false! You can ask the boys." He started and I let him continue. "After the game when we won, I returned back to the hotel with them and went to sleep. I did not even go out to celebrate with them because I was so tired. I would have gone home but it is too far from the stadium so I decided to just stay in the hotel room."

"Why would she feel so comfortable posting that and tagging you?" I said sadly, feeling like there was something he was still not telling me.

Christian shrugged his shoulders dramatically and pulled out his phone. "I did not even know she was at the game. I was not paying attention to anything besides the game. I did not even know I was tagged in anything plus, the second picture is clearly not me." He said and showed me the picture. "Baby, you know me better than anyone. Does this look like my hands or biceps? I'm strong but come on baby."

I looked at the picture more closely and let out a sigh. He was right, it did not look like his body at all. In fact, Christian's body looks way better than this.
