It's been almost two weeks and Christian's season was officially over. They, unfortunately, lost against the Dodgers in the NLCS which meant that they were not going to the World Series. He of course was disappointed about their loss and so was all of Wisconsin. At the end of the day, the boys played their best and they fought hard to get to the World Series. It just, unfortunately, didn't work out this season.

Since Christian's season was officially over, he would be heading back to California soon after the award ceremony in New York. He decided to stay for a couple more weeks before heading out because he wanted to spend some personal time with Kalen and I.

At the moment, Christian was over at the apartment for a couple of hours before I had to head to work. Kalen was still in school so it was just Christian and I hanging out.

"I'm heading to New York next week on Saturday night." Christian told me as we sat on the couch together.

"I don't want you to go." I say with a small pout and Christian smiles at me.

"It's only like 2 nights because you're coming to New York with me for the awards, right?" He asked me and I nodded.

"I wouldn't miss it." I smiled at him.

Suddenly the apartment door opened abruptly which frightened Christian and I. We both stood up but then we noticed that it was Kalen who had walked in.

"Hey! Why did you open the door like that?" I asked him and he just completely ignored me, walking past up towards his room. "Kalen Matthew Pierce, I'm talking to you."

"LEAVE ME ALONE, RAYLEEN." He yells, slamming his bedroom door shut.

I was about to go over there and say something to him because he never acted out like this, but I felt Christian pull me back. "Let him cool off, babe." He said.

"No, he can't just come in here and slam doors around." I tried telling Christian.

"I know that but it's just going to turn into an argument because he's heated." He told me and I knew he was right. "Let him cool off and talk to him when you come back from work. You're going to be late."

I looked at the watch on my wrist and noticed that maybe I should start heading out because Morgan wanted to go over something with me before the kids arrived for practice.

I looked at Christian again and nodded my head. "Are you going to head home now?" I asked him.

"No, take my car and I'll go home when you get back from work." He told me, grabbing the keys from the coffee table and handing them to me. "I'll try and talk to Kalen. That's if you allow me to stay." He said.

"No, go ahead. You can stay as long as you'd like." I smiled at him as I wrapped my arms around his waist. "Just be careful when talking to him because any little thing could set him off."

Christian nodded at me and placed a kiss on my lips. "I've got this. Have fun at work. I love you."

"I love you too." I said, placing one last kiss on his lips before heading towards the door to leave for work.

Christian's POV

After Rayleen left the apartment, I sat down on the couch and watched some TV to give Kalen some time to cool down before I got the courage to go talk to him. It was odd for him to be this angry because he was always energized and happy. There was obviously something that happened at school or maybe he got into an argument with Brianna.

I turned off the TV as I heard Kalen's bedroom door open and he walked into the living room. He looked at me and said, "I thought you went home after Rayleen left."
