Work today is going pretty fun. The kids were back from their small break and we didn't have a competition scheduled for another 3 weeks. Morgan was also back now and we were all just choosing songs to dance to for our competition in 3 weeks and all the kids were helping with that.

"Coach Pierce, can I ask you something?" I heard the new girl Brianna come over to me and ask me.

Brianna had joined the dance academy 2 weeks ago. She was a super sweet girl and really talented. She is 16 years old and moved to Milwaukee from Colorado because of a job offer her mother received. I got along well with Brianna since the day she walked in through the door. I guess you could say that I've taken her under my wing. She is quite shy when it comes to making friends on the team but she is slowly getting comfortable around everyone.

"Yeah, what's up Bri?" I asked her and she sat down next to me on the ground.

"So today I'm meeting my boyfriend's family and I'm kind of nervous." She said and I nodded. "I wanted to ask if there was any advice you could give me? Since I know you have a boyfriend and stuff."

I thought for a second before answering because I have yet to meet Christian's family. I've never really met any of my past boyfriends families because I've only ever had one relationship and that didn't end well or last that long. But I had to say something.

"Well Bri, I don't think you should be nervous." I tell her. "You're an amazing girl and as long you are yourself, I'm sure they're going to love you."

"Thank you Coach Pierce, that actually boosted my confidence a little bit." She told me, smiling. "He's really close to his sister so I have to win her over. She's the only one he has and I want her to like me so bad."

"Well I'm sure she's going to love you." I smiled at her. "Just be yourself and you'll be fine."

Brianna nodded and stood up. "Thank you so much. I appreciate it." She said and I nodded.

Brianna left and went to talk to some of the others girl while I went back to looking through some music and thinking of what kind of choreography we could do with them.

"You have no idea how nervous Kalen is right now." I said to Christian as I was on the phone with him.

Christian was heading to Missouri again playing against the Cardinals for the next couple days. Their season was coming to an end in a couple weeks so this was the last time they'd be playing the Cardinals. His game against the Pirates today had ended they had won 13-6 which Christian was happy about.

"Well, is this the first girl he's introduced you to?" Christian asked me and I shook my head.

"No, I met his ex girlfriend last year." I told him as I started setting up the table. "I didn't like her from the start and rightfully so because she was horrible,"

Christian chuckled, shaking his head and asked, "Why was she bad?"

"She cheated on him with who used to be his best friend." I told him and I could see his shaking his head. "Yeah, she was a jerk to not say the b word. But, I hope this girl is actually good."

"Hopefully she is." Christian said and I nodded. "Just give her a chance. Don't go all protective older sister on her."

"I don't act like a protective older sister." I told him and he started laughing. "I'm just very cautious and try to protect my brother from emotional pain."

At that moment, Kalen walked in the room wearing a polo shirt and blue jeans. "Well you don't have to worry about me getting heartbroken. She's amazing and you'll love her." He said as he walked in to the kitchen.

"I hope so." I said as he walked towards me and waved at Christian on the phone.

"Wassup man, good job today." Kalen said to Christian on the phone.

"Thank you, man." Christian said to him with a smile on his face. "We all just really want to end the regular season on a good note." He said.

"You guys have a good chance of getting to the World Series." Kalen said and I nodded, agreeing with him. "You all have a great team this year."

Christian smiled at that and said, "Hopefully man. We trying our best."

Kalen nodded and then he got a text message on his phone. "She's here. I'm going down to get her. Be nice."

"I'll be nice." I told him, chuckling and he left the apartment. I looked back at Christian on my phone and said, "Babe, I'll call you after dinner is over because I want to really get to know this girl."

"Okay, beautiful. Be nice and remember to give her a chance." He said and I nodded. "I love you, sunshine."

"I love you too, Mr. Baseball." I smiled at him and blew him a kiss before hanging up the phone. Damn I seriously love this man.

A couple minutes passed by and then I heard the apartment door open. I heard Kalen's voice and another voice that sounded strangely familiar.

I stood up and waited for them to come into sight. When I saw who the girl was, my jaw dropped and her eyes widened as well.

"Brianna?" I asked, not believing that she was standing in front of me right now.

"Coach Pierce?" She said, obviously not knowing that I was actually Kalen's sister.

Kalen looked between the both of us, confused. "You guys know each other already?" He asked.

Brianna looked at him and nodded. "Yeah, she's my dance coach." She said and I nodded.

"Oh, I didn't know that." Kalen said and then looked at me. "Rayleen?" He asked, probably wondering why I haven't said anything.

I didn't answer and just walked over to Brianna, bringing her into a hug. "You have no idea how happy I am that it's you."

Brianna laughed and hugged me back. "So am I. I definitely feel more comfortable now." She said.

I looked over at Kalen when we separated from the hug and said, "You made a good choice. Good job. I definitely approve."

"Good. You had me nervous there for a second." Kalen said and I laughed.

"Well since not much of an introduction is needed, are you guys hungry?" I asked and they both nodded.

This night honestly couldn't have gone any better. I could tell that Kalen was happy and I was glad he had a good girl now. I really had good hopes for their relationship.
