Kalen and I were at Christian's house at the moment because he was leaving in a couple days to go to New York. Right now Kalen and Christian were outside playing some catch while I made some food for all of us. Both Christian and Kalen wanted some chicken parmesan so that is exactly what I was making for them.
I heard the back door open and both boys walked in to the kitchen laughing. "My arm went weak for a second there." Kalen said which made Christian laugh.
"It looked like you had a noddle arm for a second." He told him laughing before stopping behind me. "It smells great in here, Sunshine."
"Food is almost done so go wash your dirty hands." I smiled at him and looked at Kalen as well who had sat down on the island.
"Okay, mom." Kalen said sarcastically as he got off the seat. "Food better be good because I'm starving."
Christian laughed as he walked up to him. "You know her food is always good. Come on." He said, pushing him out of the kitchen.
I honestly love the relationship that Christian and Kalen have. They treat each other like brothers and I know Kalen loves it. It's always just been Kalen and I since our parents don't really do anything so it's nice to see Kalen have that male influence in his life now.
I pulled out the chicken parmesan after it was done cooking and placed it on the table. As I was setting up the table, the boys walked back into the kitchen.
"Ayeee food! Finally." Kalen said, taking a seat.
Christian came over to me and placed a kiss on my temple. "Thank you for the food, sunshine."
"Of course." I smiled at him and started serving them some food.

I was washing the dishes at the moment while Christian and Kalen played video games in the living room. Christian and Kalen offered to help clean up but I declined and told them I would handle it.
As I was putting the plates in the dishwasher, I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I took it out and noticed that it was one of my neighbors calling me.
"Hello?" I answered the phone.
"Hey Rayleen! You didn't tell me you were moving out." My neighbor, Josephine, said to me which made me confuse.
"I'm not moving out. What are you talking about?" I asked, cleaning off my hands.
She stayed quiet for a second and then said, "Girl, I think you need to the get to the apartment. They're taking your stuff out."
"WHAT!? WHO?" I exclaimed.
"Babe, what's wrong?" I heard Christian ask and I walked into the living room to see him standing up, looking at me confused.
"Josephine, what is going on? Who's taking my stuff out?" I asked her.
"Our dumbass landlord is. I think you're getting evicted." She told me and my eyes widened.
I looked at Christian as he stood in front of, confused. "Okay, thank you Josephine. I'm heading there now."
"Okay, hurry up. I'll try to stall as much as I can." She said and then she hung up.
I put my phone back in my pocket and waved at Kalen to stand up. "We have to go back to the apartment. Like right now." I told them.
"Wait baby, what happened?" Christian asked me as he picked up his car keys.
"My neighbor called me and told me that someone is taking our stuff out of the apartment." I told him as we walked out of the house.
"WHAT!" Kalen exclaimed from behind us and I nodded. "Are they kicking us out?"
