Today was the first day of October and it was also a special day for Christian. The Brewers were heading to Chicago to play the cubs for their tiebreaker game to see who was going to be the NL Central division champions.
For that very reason... I was driving to Chicago in Christian's car. The reason for this was because Christian had begged me to come down to Chicago for their game. He really wanted me there so I couldn't say no to him. He trusted me enough to lend me his car to be able to travel there since Chicago was not that far from Milwaukee. It was like an hour and half away depending on traffic.
I was pretty nervous on my way to Chicago for many reasons. Firstly, I hadn't driven a car in 3 years so it was really scary to be behind the wheel again and my anxiety was at 100 right now. Another reason was because Christian's mom was going to be there today for the game as well. That meant that I was going to be meeting her for the first time and I was extremely nervous about that. This is my boyfriend's mom, the most important woman in his life... I really want her to like me.
Kalen was not with me today because he had school and didn't want to, according to him, fall behind. I'm pretty sure the only reason he didn't want to come was because he wanted to see Brianna at school which I had no problem with because I thought it was cute.
I had left my apartment at around 5:30 in the morning which meant I would get to Chicago at around 7 in the morning. Christian had sent me the address of the hotel he was staying at so that I could go there. It was not that long before I arrived so I really hoped that he'd be awake.
I arrived at the hotel the team was staying at around 7:10 in the morning. I pulled out my phone after parking and texted Christian.

I put my phone away in my purse and got out of the car before walking into the hotel. I waited in the lobby for a minute or two before I saw Christian walk out of the elevator.
He came over to me with a smile on his face and I got up. Christian opened his arms and I walked into them, wrapping my arms around his waist. "I missed you, baby." I said as we hugged.
"I missed you too, beautiful." He said, kissing the top of my head.
"No, I want a real kiss." I jokingly whined and he laughed as I looked at him.
Christian leaned down and kissed me to which I kissed him back. I saw him a couple days ago but I really missed his touch and his kisses. My feelings for him were growing so much that I missed him the second he'd leave my side.
We separated from the kiss and I smiled at Christian. He grabbed hold of my hand and said, "Lets go up to my hotel room." I nodded and we walked to the elevator so that we could go back to his room. "So, are you ready to meet my mom today?" He asked me as we waited in the elevator.
"I'm really nervous." I told him honestly and he chuckled.
"Why are you nervous, baby? My mom is going to love you." He said, moving his thumb up and down my hand.
"I don't know. I just really want your mom to like me." I told him. "This is the most important woman in your life. The one who raised you, gave birth to you.... I just really want her approval because I really love you."
