It's been a month and a half since Christian went to Arizona for Spring Training and they returned yesterday for their opening game today. I woke up today with Christian's hand lying on my stomach as he slept face down on the bed. I turned my head to look at the clock and saw that it was 6 in the morning.
I had to get up to make Kalen breakfast before he went off to school for the day. He couldn't go to the game today because he had baseball practice today but he was going to go to the weekend games.
I softly moved Christian's hand from my stomach and placed it back down on the bed without waking him up. I walked over to the bathroom in the full body mirror behind the door noticing my very small baby bump. Due to me being only 3 months pregnant, my baby bump wasn't overly noticeable but it was there. I quickly did my morning routine and put on some comfortable shorts and a black sports bra before heading downstairs to make breakfast.
Taking out some bread, eggs, and some bacon, I planned to make some French Toast with eggs and bacon. I have recently been making Kalen a big breakfast because he needed the energy to survive through school and baseball practice. Whenever baseball season came around, he knew he was going to be fed very well and now I have two boys to cook for.
As I was cooking, I heard someone coming down the stairs and when I looked over, I saw Kalen walking into the kitchen in a red champion shirt and grey sweatpants.
"Good morning sis! What you making me today?" Kalen smiled at me as he jumped up to sit on the counter.
"I'm making French Toast and eggs and bacon." I told him and he nodded. "I also made you a Caesar salad last night for lunch today. Do you want that or something else?" I asked him.
"I'll take the salad." He said and nodded, turning my attention back to the bacon. "You know, you don't have to go out of your way every day to make me breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think I'll survive without one once in a while."
I turned my head and playfully glared at him. "You know I can't have you starving during baseball season. You need to eat well and stay hydrated."
"Whatever you say." He said and then more footsteps were heard coming towards the kitchen.
Christian walked in, fully dressed and said, "Good morning." He patted Kalen on the back before coming over to me and placing a kiss on my cheek. "Hey, beautiful. What are you making?" He asked.
I smiled at him and said, "I made French Toast with eggs and bacon. Go sit, I'm about to serve you guys." I told them and Kalen jumped off the counter to take a seat at the table.
"Get prepared bro, she goes into momma bear mode during baseball season." Kalen told Christian as they both sat down together.
"What do you mean?" Christian asked, looking at me confused as I placed a plate in front of him.
"She makes us breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day." Kalen explained to him. "Don't get me wrong, it is very good."
I chuckled and added, "You guys have to eat to keep your energy up. I wouldn't want you guys to pass out on the field. You need to eat and stay hydrated."
Christian laughed as he took a bite of his food. "Well, this breakfast id delicious Sunshine so thank you."
"You're welcome." I said, taking a seat and beginning to eat my food as well. "So, when are you picking up your family?" I asked him.
"I'm leaving after I eat so that I can go pick them up and bring them back here before I head down to the field." He told me and I nodded.
Christian's family was coming down for the games this weekend and they were going to be staying with us. I am so excited because I have missed them so much and I also wanted to tell them the exciting news about the new addition to our little family.
