It has been two weeks since the incident at McDonalds where Kalen got into a fight with my boyfriend. We had talked about what happened and he expressed what made him do what he did. I had also talked to Christian about the situation and told him about the relationship I used to have with my ex. Just to say, there was a lot of crying and hugging during that conversation.
Christian was on the road again for away games and was in Missouri playing against the Cardinals. He was set to come back on Monday for their games against Reds and the Pirates here in Milwaukee. We both have barely talked as much because we were both pretty busy with work and everything. We tried texting as much as we could but I have to admit that I miss him.
Today was Friday and it meant that the dance competition was today. Our competition was all the way in Green Bay, Wisconsin and that was almost 2 hours away from Milwaukee. Since it was so far, we were leaving at 7 in the morning because the competition was to start at 12 in the afternoon.
I was walking to the dance academy at around 6:30 when Christian called me. I answered the phone and smiled when I saw him pop up on my screen, laying on his hotel bed.
"Hey, Sunshine." He greeted me, looking a bit sleepy. "How did you sleep?"
"Heyy, Mr. Baseball." I smiled at him. "I slept well, how about you? You still seem a bit tired."
Christian nodded and sat up before saying, "I'm a bit tired but I wanted to call you because I know you have a big day ahead of you and we probably won't be able to talk much today."
"You're so sweet, thank you." I said, smiling at him. "I'm actually really nervous. It's been a while since I performed and also the trio that I choreographed."
"I'm sure you're going to do great." He said, standing up. "I'm going to try and watch the competition as much as I can on TV."
"Okay, that's fine. I didn't even know they were going to televise it." I said, not knowing about the broadcasting of the competition. "I just thought they'd post videos after the competition."
"I only knew because Cain told me that his wife used to watch them." Christian said as he entered the bathroom and I arrived at the academy. "So I decided to watch as much as I can to support my girl."
I smiled, blushing at what he said while I walked in to the academy. "You're so cute, but I appreciate the support. Makes me feel less nervous."
"It's the least I can do when you always support me at games when you can too." He said, washing his face.
"Well, thank you." I said to him, walking into the studio where Morgan was packing up the outfits for the dancers.
"Wassup, girl." Morgan greeted me after he saw me walk in through the door. "You ready for our coaches' dance today?" He asked.
"I was born ready." I laughed as I walked over to him, putting my bag down. I looked back at my phone to see Christian brushing his teeth.
Morgan stood up and came to stand next to me and looked at my phone. "Is this the guy you're talking to?"
I nodded and saw Christian look up at the phone after finishing up brushing his teeth. "Hi, I'm Christian. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, even if it is over the phone." Morgan said, laughing and I chuckled. "I'm Morgan. I've heard a lot about you."
"All good things, I hope." Christian said with a small smile on his face and I nodded. "I've heard a lot about you too."
"Well I hope for good things as well." Morgan said, looking at me and I nodded. "I should finish up packing up these costumes so I'll let you guys talk."
