Today was Valentine's Day and I have yet to hear from Christian today. I sent him a cute, long paragraph this morning and he never responded to it. Due to that, I have been sad all day and my being pregnant doesn't make it any better.
Kalen practically dragged me out of the house to go take him to the store to get Brianna some flowers before dropping him off at her house since they were going to hang out for Valentine's Day. I wish I was able to hang out with Christian today but he's not even responding to my text messages.
"Hey, you better behave yourself alright?" I tell Kalen as he hops out of the car.
"Don't worry." He chuckles, grabbing Brianna's present. "You won't be becoming an auntie anytime soon." He winks and closes the door.
I laugh and watch as he walked up to the front door. Once I made sure he made it inside safely, I pulled away from the house and started my route back home. I made a quick stop at Dunkin' and grabbed myself a Strawberry Refresher since I was thirsty.
Once I made it back home, I hopped out of the car and walked up to the front door. I froze as I noticed that the door was slightly open. I know for a fact that I locked the door before I left the house so I had no idea why it was unlocked and slightly open right now.
I slowly opened the front door even wider and stepped inside to see rose petals across the floor, making a pathway from the front door toward the living room. I placed my purse on the side table and closed the door behind me before carefully following the rose petals. I was so confused as to what was happening. Nobody else had access to the house except for myself and Christian. Christian was all the way in California right now since he said he wouldn't be able to make it home for today.
The path of rose petals continued up the stairs and I debated on whether or not to follow it or call the police. My heart raced as I started walking up the stairs because I had no idea what was waiting for me upstairs.
The rose petals stopped in front of Christian and I's bedroom and so did I. I stood in front of the door with my hand on the handle. What could be behind this door? Is it going to be a cute surprise or could there be an intruder behind the door waiting for me to open the door so he could kill me? I had no idea but I was about to find out.
I slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open. My jaw dropped as I saw that the bedroom had now been decorated with rose petals, gifts, and balloons.
"What the hell..." I said, confused as I entered more into the room.
The bathroom door then suddenly opened, frightening me. I turned to look and my eyes widened as I saw Christian walk out with another bouquet in his hands.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Sunshine." He said with a huge smile as he walked up to me.
"What are you doing here?" I smiled at him, still confused as to what was happening right now.
